I found the entire thing tawdry and ugly \u2014and\u2064 not only because I\u2064 think the \u2064guy is full of crap.<\/p>\n<p>Some right<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tuckers-interview-with-obama-accuser-follows-the-medias-standard-for-covering-sex-scandals\/\" title=\"Tucker interviews Obama accuser, media follows sex scandal norms.\">-wing social media personalities find<\/a> an aversion \u200cto information warfare\u200d a sign of weakness. There are \u200cplenty of solid\u2064 reasons\u2064 not to join a mob recklessly accusing a politician \u2014 or anyone, for that matter \u2014 of smoking crack and cheating on his wife that have absolutely nothing to do with politics or winning the approval of liberals. One is basic decency.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Questioning the Ethics<\/h3>\n<p>But, yes, the\u2064 left did not show the same civility in the past. And it\u2019s laughable for journalists to complain\u2064 about \u2063Tucker\u2019s interview. There\u2019s \u200dlittle ethical difference between \u2063the coverage\u2062 of the alleged <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-one-in-six-biden-voters-would-have-changed-their-vote-if-they-had-known-about-scandals-suppressed-by-media\/\" title=\"Poll: One In Six Biden Voters Would Have Changed Their Vote If They Had Known About Scandals Suppressed By Media\">sexual assault<\/a> claims against Brett Kavanaugh and Carlson interviewing Sinclair \u2014 other\u2064 than one of those two stories had serious political consequences and involved meritless accusations of odious criminal behavior.<\/p>\n<p>And, hey, Tucker\u2019s not coming to \u200bany conclusions about Sinclair\u2019s allegations. He\u2019s merely reporting on them. He\u2019s just\u200d asking questions.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Yes, Sinclair has a long history of legal trouble. But that\u2019s not the only gauge of credibility, nor is it necessarily dispositive. Unlike Sinclair, Christine Blasey \u2063Ford would not even offer a\u200b place or time for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/times-up-leader-ignored-sexual-assault-allegation-against-star-doctor-lawsuit-says\/\" title=\"Time\u2019s Up Leader Ignored Sexual Assault Allegation Against Star Doctor, Lawsuit Says\">alleged assault<\/a>. Not one witness corroborated her story \u2014 \u2062not even her \u200dlongtime \u200cclose friend or any of \u200dher 70-something classmates did so.<\/p>\n<p>For that matter, there is still no evidence that Blasey Ford had even met or known Kavanaugh at all. Her claims have zero credibility. Her accusation would have been laughed\u200b out of any court of law, and it should have been laughed out of \u200devery newsroom. Yet, Democrats still smear the justice with \u2064unfalsifiable accusations of sexual assault as a matter of policy.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Selective\u200b Reporting<\/h3>\n<p>But forget Blasey.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/project-veritas-strips-cnn-naked\/\" title=\"Project Veritas Strips CNN Naked\">legacy media<\/a> like\u2064 to play\u200b this game in which they pretend to innocently\u200d report or \u201cexplain\u201d highly selective types of scurrilous accusations \u2014 spreading them widely\u200c in the process\u200d \u2014 without ever actually endorsing them or gauging their veracity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho is Julie Swetnick, the third Kavanaugh accuser?\u201d read a <em>four<\/em>-bylined headline in The Washington Post in October of 2018. Among other things, she is \u2062\u201can\u200d experienced Web \u200bdeveloper in the Washington area who has held multiple security clearances for her work on government-related networks.\u201d CNN\u200c also wondered, \u201cWho is Julie Swetnick, the \u200cthird \u2063woman with\u2064 allegations about Brett Kavanaugh?\u201d \u201cJulie Swetnick \u2064Is \u200bThird Woman to Accuse Brett Kavanaugh of Sexual Misconduct,\u201d \u200canswered The New York Times. \u200c\u201cKavanaugh accuser \u200cJulie Swetnick speaks out on sexual abuse allegations\u201d was NBC News\u2019 contribution. And so on and so\u2062 forth.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, Swetnick, who accused the Supreme Court nominee of engaging in a <em>gang rape<\/em>, was a fraud. She was also\u200b full of crap. And though not every outlet acted irresponsibly, most did (and consciously so.) Shyster lawyer Michael Avenatti, the guy who trotted out these accusers \u2014 now serving 16 years in federal prison \u2014 was a fixture on CNN for weeks.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Questionable Reporting Standards<\/h3>\n<p>But forget\u2062 Swetnick.<\/p>\n<p>In \u200ba book\u2062 about the Kavanaugh controversy, New York Times reporters Robin Pogebrin and Kate \u2062Kelly claimed to have uncovered another victim \u2026 one that reportedly couldn\u2019t even recall the incident herself. The \u2063two were interviewed by basically every major outlet as experts on the matter without \u2064any pushback. This is\u200c the\u200c standard legacy \u200cmedia uses when leveling accusations.<\/p>\n<p>How about the Trump \u201cgolden shower\u201d dossier claim \u2014 part of the fabricated oppo file paid for \u2063by Hillary Clinton and the DNC that helped the DOJ concoct the Russia collusion hoax? Outlets like CNN (\u201cMueller investigated rumored compromising tapes of Trump in Moscow\u201d), The Washington Post (\u201cReal\u200b or \u2018fake news\u2019? Either way,\u200d allegations of \u2063lewd\u2063 tape pose challenge for Trump\u201d),\u200d The New York Times (\u201cLordy,\u200d Is There a Tape?\u201d), and\u2062 virtually every lefty outlet, gave the pee tape \u200dattention. There is literally no accusation against conservatives\u200d that won\u2019t get an airing from the media.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Some people \u200bwill, no doubt, argue that the media has\u200b no choice \u2062but to cover these people because major figures in a political party are \u2064talking about them and the DOJ or FBI are investigating. \u200bYes, Senate Democrats said they believed the women who\u2064 accused Kavanaugh of rape. And Kamala Harris put \u2063unsubstantiated \u2062allegations into the\u2062 congressional\u2062 record. These are terrible people.<\/p>\n<p>If Republicans had done the same, an army of fact-checkers, reporters, analysts, and\u2064 columnists would have \u2064been mobilized \u2062to debunk, contextualize, and dismiss the claims. They \u200dwould treat any unfounded accusations as they do the Biden family corruption allegations (for which\u200c there is \u2062tons of \u2064corroborating and circumstantial proof) by\u2064 ignoring it as best they can and playing defense. But, the \u2062entire process changes depending on the accused.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Equal Standards<\/h3>\n<p>By the standards used\u2064 for \u200dthe dossier, or Blasey Ford, or Swetnick, every network should have a story on the Sinclair \u200cinterview right now.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tucker Carlson&#8217;s recent show featured an interview with Larry Sinclair, who alleges drug use and a sexual encounter with Barack Obama in 1995.
