The \u200cgovernor\u200c was confronted by an individual who claimed that\u2064 his policies had harmed people and allowed weapons to flood the\u200d streets, referencing a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-speaks-with-desantis-about-jacksonville-shooting-and-hurricane-threat\/\" title=\"Biden and DeSantis discuss Jacksonville shooting and hurricane risk.\">racially motivated \u2063shooting<\/a> in Jacksonville last \u2062month \u200dthat left three people dead.<\/p>\n<h3>DeSantis Stands Firm<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not \u200bgoing\u200c to let you \u200daccuse \u2064me of committing criminal activity. I\u200d am not going to take that,&#8221; DeSantis firmly\u2062 responded to the \u2062accusation.<\/p>\n<p>The governor then addressed\u2064 the issue of the \u2064shooter in the Jacksonville incident, emphasizing that\u200c under existing\u2064 law, the individual should not\u2064 have had access to the gun. DeSantis referred to the Baker Act,\u200d which allows for the involuntary\u200c commitment of individuals with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/desantis-defends-crime-policies-you-dont-get-to-come-here-and-blame-me-for-some-madman\/\" title=\"DeSantis stands firm on crime policies: 'I won't be blamed for one person's actions.'\">mental health complications<\/a>. He stated that the shooter should have been ruled ineligible, but unfortunately,\u2062 he was\u2064 not\u200c involuntarily committed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There is the truth, there is \u200dsomething about the truth, \u200bit&#8217;s not everyone has their own truth. You \u200ddon&#8217;t get to come here and blame me for some\u2063 madman.
