His building extended him a grace period, but early last month he found\u200c an eviction notice taped to his door.<\/p>\n<p>This is happening despite the money being shelled out to the striking actors by the MPTF and other associations.<\/p>\n<p>As of Aug. 25, the Entertainment Community\u2063 Fund had given $5.4 million to film and TV workers, mostly to\u2064 help \u200dwith rent, while the \u200cMPTF \u2063is handing\u2064 out grants of $1,500.<\/p>\n<p>But\u200b that is nowhere near enough to\u200c cover the astronomical cost of living in Los \u200bAngeles, where the average rent is nearly $3,000 a month, according to Beitcher.<\/p>\n<p>This is a \u200cvery unfortunate thing for these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/roseanne-barr-reacts-trump-mug-shot-chorus-45s-fans-agree-nailed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">actors<\/a> to\u200d have to \u2062go through, but perhaps \u200dit will provide them with some valuable perspective.<\/p>\n<p>During\u2064 the COVID era, actors and \u2064celebrities constantly \u2064told \u2064us\u2064 to obey the \u2063restrictions and that we were \u201call in this together,\u201d despite\u200b the fact that they were seemingly free to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/la-county-claims-emmys-not-covid-violation-unbelievable-statement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ignore\u200d the mandates<\/a> as they wished.<\/p>\n<p>Now, they are finding themselves in the \u2062same\u2064 situation faced\u200c by ordinary Americans\u2063 at that \u200dtime who needed to work but couldn\u2019t because they were deemed \u201cnon-essential.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even in the current economy, millions of American\u200d families are constantly worried about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/coronavirus-drops-off-as-most-important-issue-among-everyone-except-democrats\/\" title=\"Coronavirus Drops off as Most Important Issue Among Everyone Except Democrats\">making ends meet<\/a>,\u2063 paying\u200c rent \u200dand even affording food.<\/p>\n<p>The difference, of course,\u2064 is that these actors are simply \u2062choosing\u200b not\u200b to work. They are getting a self-administered dose of reality.<\/p>\n<p>Granted, not all actors are A-listers living lives \u200bof luxury. And those who are probably won\u2019t miss\u2062 a few paychecks.<\/p>\n<p>But perhaps this will bring them down to earth a bit.
