In response, the Wisconsin Democratic Party has introduced a \u200c$4 million\u200d defense effort to target GOP lawmakers.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200dstate Supreme Court is set to hear two pending redistricting\u200d lawsuits, one of which asks \u2064all \u2063132 state lawmakers to be up for election, including \u2064those \u2062not slated to be \u2063on the 2024 ballot. Protasiewicz has \u2064been vocal\u2063 about her views\u2063 on abortion rights \u2063and \u2063the state&#8217;s\u200c maps, calling them &#8220;rigged&#8221; \u2062and \u200ddemanding a review.<\/p>\n<p>Protasiewicz&#8217;s appointment to the court\u2062 has been \u200dmet with controversy, as she feuded with Chief Justice\u200b Annette Ziegler and fired the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wisconsin-republicans-run-into-4-million-obstacle-to-impeaching-liberal-supreme-court-justice\/\" title=\"Wisconsin GOP faces M hurdle in impeaching liberal Supreme Court justice.\">state\u200c courts director shortly<\/a> after \u200btaking office. However, the Wisconsin Judicial Commission recently \u200bdropped several complaints \u200clodged against her over comments she made during her campaign about voting\u2062 maps.<\/p>\n<p>Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos\u2062 continues to push for Protasiewicz&#8217;s recusal \u2064and questions her acceptance\u2064 of \u2064$10 million in campaign funds from \u200cthe Democratic Party, which has \u200ba vested interest \u2063in the \u2064redistricting lawsuit.
