Screenwriters Chris Mattheson and Ed Solomon did this with \u201cBill\u200d and Ted\u2019s\u2064 Excellent Adventure\u201d in 1989.\u200c I \u200cdid this while explaining the Trump \u200bphenomenon <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2018\/11\/05\/pro-wrestling-explains-trump-wins-every-battle-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">through the lens of\u200c professional\u2062 wrestling<\/a> in 2018.\u200c Recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2023\/09\/06\/top-20-songs-chris-christie-nikki-haley-will-hurd-cornel-west-00113795\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Politico Magazine<\/a> did this in a piece attempting to compile the\u2064 top 20\u200d songs of the\u2062 various individuals running for \u200dpresident.<\/p>\n<p>In a fluffy kind of way, this\u200d kind of \u2063piece is\u200b nice. It\u2019s delightful to catch a waft of humanity from\u200d people whose personalities all \u2064seem to have\u2064 been sandblasted \u2063away and repainted with the generic brush by public relations consultants years ago. \u2064It\u2019s also nice to discover that people who have drastically different visions for \u2064our country \u200dcan\u200d still share our musical tastes \u2014 a reminder that\u200b art can still \u200btrump ideology in the era of Trump.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/are-covid-case-surges-more-fake-news\/\" title=\"Are COVID Case Surges More Fake News?\">imagine<\/a> that\u2019s what Politico was aiming\u2062 for\u2062 in this piece. Instead, it gave us a\u2064 clearer look into the minds of these POTUS-hopefuls than \u200dany pre-election expos\u00e9 or post-election memoir could offer. While only a handful\u200d of\u200d the presidential candidates responded, those who did respond offered\u200c playlists that are a perfect crystallization of their\u200b respective weaknesses and strengths. Fortunately, thanks to the power of personality-playlist-reverse-engineering, I\u2019ve managed to figure out one of each man\u2019s favorite tunes.<\/p>\n<h3>Joe Biden<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The Tears of a Clown<\/strong> \u2014 Smokey Robinson &#038; the Miracles<\/p>\n<p>This classic reminds President Biden\u200b of the \u2062summer he spent jamming in\u200d Detroit with the Funk Brothers at Motown Studios.
