Version: 4.0.47--><h2>Judge Issues Temporary Restraining Order on\u2064 School\u2064 District&#8217;s Gender Transition Policy<\/h2>\n<blockquote>\n<p>A judge in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">California<\/a> on Wednesday issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/utah-supreme-court-to-consider-challenge-to-abortion-trigger-ban\/\" title=\"Utah's top court to review abortion trigger ban challenge.\">temporary restraining \u200border<\/a> on \u2062the Chino Valley Unified School District\u2019s recently adopted policy that \u200crequires schools \u2064to inform parents about student gender \u2062transitions.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Civil Rights Lawsuit Challenges \u2062&#8221;Forced Outing Policy&#8221;<\/h3>\n<blockquote>\n<p>San Bernardino Superior Court\u200b Judge Tom Garza granted the temporary order amid an \u2063ongoing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/california-attorney-general-sues-school-district-over-gender-parental-notification-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">civil rights lawsuit filed last month<\/a> by California Attorney General Rob Bonta, who claimed the \u2062district\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/california-attorney-general-investigating-chino-school-district-over-gender-parental-notification-policy\/\" title=\"CA Attorney General probes Chino School District for gender parental notification policy.\">forced outing policy<\/a>\u201d discriminates against the privacy rights of\u2063 LGBTQ+ \u2064students and the California \u200cConstitution.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Bonta praised the judge\u2019s decision, \u2063saying the \u200dorder rightfully upholds the \u2062state rights \u200dof \u2064\u201cour LGBTQ+ student community and protects kids from harm by\u200b immediately halting the board\u2019s forced outing policy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile this fight is far from over,\u2063 today\u2019s \u200bruling takes a significant step towards ensuring the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of \u2062transgender and\u2062 gender-nonconforming \u2064students,\u201d Bonta said in a\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/oag.ca.gov\/news\/press-releases\/attorney-general-bonta-san-bernardino-superior-court%E2%80%99s-decision-protects\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a> after\u200c Wednesday\u2019s hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Chino Valley Unified School District, which represents over 26,000 students in \u2062San Bernardino \u2062County, passed a\u2063 policy in July that requires teachers to inform parents \u200cwithin three days if their child uses names\u2064 and pronouns different from their birth certificate\u200d or requests to\u200c use school facilities or join sports team opposite of their gender.<\/p>\n<p>Sonja \u2064Shaw, \u2063president of the \u200dChino Valley Unified board of education, told The Associated Press the judge\u2019s ruling was disappointing and that \u200bthere is \u201cobviously \u2062an issue\u2064 and parents are concerned.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t understand \u200bwhy they are so\u2062 gung ho on this issue, but everything else we have to inform the parents about,\u201d Shaw said.<\/p>\n<p>Shaw, who became a local advocate for parental rights amid\u2062 the state\u2019s\u200c pandemic response, reportedly said that state investigators \u200csubpoenaed her emails and text\u2064 messages.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE \u2062DAILY\u200b WIRE APP<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Bonta\u2019s] automatically trying \u2063to assume parents are dangerous, and I\u200d think that\u2019s a dangerous, dangerous direction that they\u2019re \u200dheading in,\u201d Shaw told Fox News. \u201cAnd you\u200d see \u200bit all over California.
