The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/in-its-first-year-bidens-hhs-relentlessly-attacked-christians-and-unborn-babies\/\" title=\"In Its First Year, Biden\u2019s HHS Relentlessly Attacked Christians And Unborn Babies\">federal government sued<\/a> the state. The\u2062 feds\u2064 argued that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/judge-orders-texas-to-weaken-border-security-per-biden-admins-request\/\" title=\"Texas has been ordered by a judge to reduce border security, as requested by the Biden administration.\">gigantic buoys \u2063blocked waterway navigability<\/a> in violation of U.S. law,\u2063 and were placed in the river without permission. Ezra agreed \u200dwith that \u2062assessment and said\u2063 that Texas\u2019 claim of \u200can \u201cinvasion\u201d was irrelevant.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe Court has found that the United States is \u200clikely to succeed on the merits of its claim that Defendants have violated [the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899],\u201d Ezra \u200cwrote, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/2023\/09\/06\/judge-orders-texas-to-remove-border-buoys-from-rio-grande-rejects-abbott-invasion-claim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to The Dallas Morning News. \u201cThe Court also \u200cfinds that Texas\u2019s conduct \u2063irreparably\u200b harms the public safety, navigation, and the operations of federal \u200dagency officials \u2063in and around\u200c the Rio Grande.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Abbott administration had previously argued\u200b that \u200bthe \u200cRivers and Harbors Act shouldn\u2019t \u200capply because that particular part of the Rio Grande is too\u200c shallow for boats and other vessels to navigate.<\/p>\n<p>In response to Wednesday\u2019s ruling, the Texas governor pledged to fight it.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201dThis ruling is incorrect and will be overturned on appeal,\u201d Abbott <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/texas-border-barriers-buoys-removed-federal-judge-biden-administration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> \u2064 in\u200b a statement. \u201cWe will continue to \u2063utilize every strategy to secure \u200dthe border,\u200b including deploying\u200d Texas National\u200d Guard\u2064 soldiers \u200band Department of Public Safety troopers and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/texas-ordered-to-remove-rio-grande-barrier-as-trial-continues\/\" title=\"Texas told to take down Rio Grande barrier during ongoing trial.\">installing strategic barriers<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Abbott\u2064 isn\u2019t just facing \u2062pushback from his own government for these barriers. Mexican President Andres Manuel L\u00f3pez Obrador condemned Abbott for his\u200c actions.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cNo one should be treated like this,\u201d Lopez Obrador <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/08\/03\/americas\/mexico-amlo-texas-inhumane-intl-latam\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> last month. \u201cThat kind of treatment\u2063 does \u2064not come from a good person;\u200d only by being good can we be \u200chappy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Maybe Lopez\u200b Obrador should\u200c recognize that no nation\u200c should be treated the way \u200cthe Biden administration and Mexico treat America. A country can\u2019t survive \u2063without\u2062 a strong\u2062 border, and Biden\u2019s entire administration seems intent\u200d on keeping it as wide open as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the real solution to this madness will be to deport the millions upon millions of illegal aliens who currently reside in the country \u2014 and then build the wall while \u200dpropping up more barriers\u200b like Abbott has done. That will never happen under a Democratic president.<\/p>\n<p>For now, one has to wonder why the Biden administration didn\u2019t simply give Texas approval to install these features post hoc. It\u2019s not that much of a mystery actually.\u200b It \u2064seems obvious it\u2019s because the \u2064Biden team\u2064 has no \u200cdesire to \u200dprotect American sovereignty. They have effectively \u200dabdicated duty\u200d entirely.<\/p>\n<p>Abbott also promised to build more guardrails and to defend Texas\u2019 land.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue to utilize every strategy to secure the border, including deploying Texas National Guard soldiers and Department of\u2063 Public\u200c Safety troopers and installing strategic barriers,\u201d Abbott <a href=\"https:\/\/gov.texas.gov\/news\/post\/office-of-the-governor-statement-on-ruling-on-texas-border-security\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> Wednesday.\u200c \u201cOur battle to defend Texas\u2019 sovereign authority to protect \u2062lives from the chaos \u200dcaused\u2064 by President Biden\u2019s open border \u200bpolicies \u2063has only begun.\u200c Texas is prepared to take this fight all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Maybe once Biden and his bipartisan gang stop shelling out billions for Ukraine \u2064borders, they will focus on America\u2019s border.<\/p>\n<p>Until then, hats off to Abbott for the creative solutions and <strong>cojones<\/strong> to fight in court.<\/p>\n<p><em>The views expressed \u2062in this piece are\u2063 the author\u2019s own and do not necessarily represent those of\u2063 The Daily Wire.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday, a federal judge instructed Texas to reduce border security as per the Department of Justice&#8217;s request.
