And I wanted to do this, but I felt I needed to\u200d do this, and I \u200bwas confused,'&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Evidently it was in my\u200d subconscious &#8230;\u200b Once I knocked all the \u2062couplets down in the rhythm, it sort of wrote itself,&#8221; McConaughey continued.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Dallas Buyers Club&#8221; star said \u2063his kids have already\u200d given their seal of approval.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They liked it,&#8221; McConaughey said. &#8220;Vida is very visual, so she loved the pictures that [illustrator] Ren\u00e9e [Kurilla] did. I\u200d ran \u2063it by my kids. We went through scenarios [explored] in it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Hollywood star said \u200done\u200d of the parts\u2064 that they connected to was a section that read, &#8220;Just because you&#8217;re wailing, doesn&#8217;t mean you&#8217;re a crier. Just because you lied, doesn&#8217;t mean you&#8217;re a liar.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We talked about that one quite a bit because my kids have seen it,&#8221; he added. &#8220;We do it\u2062 all the time: We label somebody. Somebody fibs to \u2064you: &#8216;Oh, you&#8217;re a\u200b liar.&#8217; Well, that&#8217;s a big \u2062blanket to put on \u200dsomebody. If you call someone a liar, they get defensive: &#8216;Whoa, my whole being? You mean I&#8217;m all about untruths?'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But if you say, &#8216;No, that was a lie,&#8217; that person has the choice now to go, &#8216;I know, I&#8217;m sorry\u2064 about that,'&#8221; McConaughey continued.<\/p>\n<p>His book follows the\u200d &#8220;Interstellar&#8221; star&#8217;s first dive into publishing when \u200dhe released his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wayne-root-i-stand-with-president-trump-we-will-always-stand-with-trump\/\" title=\"WAYNE ROOT: I Stand with President Trump, We Will Always Stand With Trump\">bestselling book<\/a> &#8220;Greenlights&#8221; in 2020, which deals with trials and tribulations he&#8217;s faced in his own life.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Just Because&#8221; is due out September 12.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Matthew McConaughey shared the inspiration for his debut children&#8217;s book &#8220;Just Because,&#8221; revealing it came to him like a midnight melody, resonating with the child within.
