Additionally, he would \u200bhave entered into a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/prosecutors-to-seek-indictment-of-hunter-biden-this-month\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden to be indicted by prosecutors this month.\">separate deferred prosecution agreement<\/a> for the felony charge \u200dof illegally owning a firearm while using\u2062 drugs.<\/p>\n<p>This case has become \u2063a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-lawless-border-of-horrors-pregnant-12-year-olds-drowned-babies-rape-trees-organ-harvesting\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s Lawless Border of Horrors: Pregnant 12-year-olds, Drowned Babies, \u2018Rape Trees,\u2019 Organ Harvesting\u2026\">political lightning rod<\/a>,\u2063 with Republicans in Congress suggesting the impeachment of Biden over his son&#8217;s business dealings and accusing the Department of Justice\u200d of\u200d granting\u2063 him a &#8220;sweetheart deal.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Attorney General Garland has\u2064 denied these Republican allegations of favoritism and has elevated\u200b Weiss, who has been\u200c investigating the case since \u200d2019, to\u200d the position \u2064of U.S. special counsel.<\/p>\n<p>If the case\u200c proceeds to trial,\u200c President Biden would be campaigning for reelection in November 2024,\u200b likely against former President Donald Trump, while \u2063his son\u200b faces criminal prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>Trump, a Republican, is\u2064 also facing at least three criminal trials\u200c of his own next year.<\/p>\n<p>(Reporting by Kanishka Singh, Eric Beech, Tom Hals, \u2064and \u2062Jeff Mason; editing by\u200d Rami Ayyub and \u200cDavid Gregorio)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>seek an indictment of Hunter Biden by Sept. 29 for tax and firearms charges.
