To understand the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kushner-nominated-for-nobel-peace-prize\/\" title=\"Kushner Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize\">wide-ranging impact<\/a> of abortion\u200b on society, we must also understand the trauma abortion inflicts. This trauma is shared by \u200bthe mother and the child, the \u200ctarget of the abortion. Most often, that child is left without a\u2064 voice,\u2063 but today \u2063abortion survivors are speaking out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I was \u200c14 years old when I learned I \u200dwas \u2062an abortion survivor. I remember feeling angry \u2063and\u2064 betrayed that I didn\u2019t know \u200babout this\u200b secret of \u2063my birth. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When\u200c I was 19 years old, my curiosity led me to do more research about my\u2062 birth. \u200bI poured over\u2062 the details of my \u200cadoption and found more information\u2062 in my medical \u2064records.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">By the time I was 30\u200d years old, I finally reconnected with \u200bmy biological mother. She was overwhelmed with\u2064 emotion and had carried the weight of my life in\u2064 her\u200d heart for years. I, too, \u200dwas overwhelmed, but as\u200d she \u200cshared her experience with me, those \u200bfeelings of \u2063anger and betrayal were soon replaced with gratitude, forgiveness, and empathy. \u200cI was grateful for my life and \u2062hoped \u2064she could \u2062find peace where guilt and pain had once lived in her heart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I learned \u2062that, despite loving my birth father, \u200cshe was forced to abort\u200c me. \u200dWhen she was 31 weeks pregnant, \u2063her mother,\u2064 a prominent nurse \u200dat a local hospital, forced her to have a\u2062 saline-induced\u2064 abortion to end my life. For days they injected\u2064 a toxic solution into the amniotic fluid, a solution designed to poison and scald me until \u200dI \u2062was delivered dead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On the fifth day, after my \u200cbirth mother \u2062was\u200c administered numerous rounds of Pitocin to induce labor, I was delivered by a nurse, alive. My birth mother was led to believe the abortion was successful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">My grandmother, however, demanded I be left to \u2064die. \u2064Despite her orders, a nurse rushed me to \u2062the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/court-rules-north-carolina-abortion-ban-unconstitutional\/\" title=\"Court Rules North Carolina Abortion Ban Unconstitutional\">neonatal intensive care unit<\/a>\u2063 (NICU). I weighed two pounds, 14 ounces, I suffered from jaundice and severe respiratory distress,\u2063 and doctors believed I would suffer from many physical\u200c and emotional disabilities \u200ddue to the\u2063 abortion procedure and \u200bmy premature birth. I remained in the \u2063NICU for 21 days and\u200c was eventually transferred\u2064 to another\u200d hospital. I suffered from severe respiratory and liver problems and seizures, and the doctors worried I\u2062 had a fatal heart defect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Despite all of \u2062these serious \u2063issues, I was adopted by loving parents\u200d who nurtured and cared for me. They knew I might not survive, but if I did, I would likely \u2063be disabled. Despite the odds, my body healed, \u2062and I lived\u2064 a normal \u200bchildhood. I\u200d had an older \u200dsister, who was \u200balso adopted, and our parents loved us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The abortion industry hates that I \u2063exist. Abortions fail\u2064 more often than one might think. I survived an abortion and I am \u200cnot afraid to \u2062tell my \u2064story. The existence of survivors like me is rarely mentioned, nor is the emotional, mental, and physical trauma we\u2063 endure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/i-am-an-abortion-survivor-heres-why-my-story-matters\/\" title=\"Abortion survivor: My story matters.\">path abortion survivors face<\/a>\u2063 is difficult at best. For most of us, the biggest fight of our lives began\u200c before we even drew our first breath. Our physical \u200band emotional health are compromised, and sometimes we never understand\u2064 why, \u2062until we\u200b discover our birth story. Even then, our beginnings are covered up and hidden through the laborious process of uncovering our \u200bmedical records. We\u2062 live in a culture that celebrates \u2063a \u201cprocedure\u201d designed\u2062 to \u2062end a life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The abortion\u200b industry has shaped our \u2063culture. They have long argued that abortion is safe\u2064 for women while suppressing the voices\u200d of survivors. They shout\u200b and insist that women should be\u2062 proud of choosing abortion,\u200b that \u200cwomen can\u2019t thrive\u200d without abortion \u200das an option, and that women\u200d are made whole by their abortions.\u200d Yet, they actually\u2062 force women to hide their pain, \u200bregret, \u200dand the \u201chealth care\u201d that \u2063changed the trajectory of their \u2064lives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Today, survivors of abortions are telling their\u2064 stories\u200d as \u2064they watch our culture debate the value of their lives. Women who \u2064have\u200c experienced \u2064failed or reversed abortions have \u2063largely been unseen, unheard, \u200dand unserved, but thankfully\u200b that is changing. Together\u2062 we \u200dare \u2063pushing back against the lies\u200c and \u200defforts to hide the pain and\u200d trauma abortion causes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our experiences of having \u200csurvived an abortion, sometimes multiple abortion attempts,\u200b color our lives and relationships. The impact\u200b ripples from our mothers and fathers to extended family members, adoptive families, and friends who\u2063 have raised a\u200b survivor. Medical professionals, clinic staff, and adoption workers also feel the consequences of abortion. We know you are there, you \u200dare not alone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Every child, born or unborn,\u200c has a purpose. These realities are why\u2064 I am \u200braising awareness\u2064 about\u200b abortion survivors and the truth that abortions\u2063 can fail.
