Ernst, students who test positive for\u2062 the virus must &#8220;relocate to their permanent residence, stay with a nearby relative or friend, \u2062or find a hotel space.&#8221; \u2064This policy\u200b applies \u2064to \u200call \u2062students, even those in single rooms.<\/p>\n<p>Ernst also emphasized the importance of students creating\u2062 an isolation plan in advance to ensure peace of mind.<\/p>\n<p>This policy, which has been\u2063 in place for several months, was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/amazon-wants-15-federal-minimum-wage-reports-small-businesses-would-be-hardest-hit\/\" title=\"Amazon Wants  Federal Minimum Wage; Reports: Small Businesses Would Be Hardest Hit\">recently highlighted<\/a> by Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, a \u200cprofessor at Stanford University, who\u2062 criticized the university&#8217;s \u200dapproach on Twitter.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4225137\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/01\/20\/GettyImages-1731117-1200x800-1200x800.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><\/noscript><\/figcaption><\/a><br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<p>The university&#8217;s COVID-19 website provides detailed\u2064 guidelines \u2063for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/university-of-michigan-will-force-out-students-from-dorms-if-they-get-covid\/\" title=\"UMich to evict students who contract COVID\">reporting\u200c positive test \u200cresults<\/a> and creating an isolation plan. It also states that most\u200d isolation plans \u2063last around five days. Students residing in on-campus dorms are required to leave their residence halls during \u2064isolation.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200dUniversity \u200dof Michigan has confirmed that these measures\u2064 are in place\u2064 to \u2064address the rise in COVID-19 cases on campus and to prevent further\u2063 spread of the virus.<\/p>\n<p>While the university has\u2064 not \u200dmandated masks on campus or\u200d in class, it\u200d remains unclear if masking will be reimplemented.
