The bill \u200dseeks to prevent federal bureaucrats, including President Joe Biden, from enforcing face coverings. It\u2064 states that no government funds collected from hardworking Americans\u2062 can \u2062be \u200bused\u200c to create or enforce forced masking before\u2063 December 2024.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>Senator Vance stated, \u2062&#8221;We tried\u200b mask\u2062 mandates once in this country. They\u200b failed \u200dto control the spread of respiratory\u200d viruses, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republicans-go-to-war-against-mask-mandates\/\" title=\"Republicans wage war on mask mandates.\">violated basic bodily freedom<\/a>, and set our fellow citizens against one another. This legislation will ensure \u2064that no federal\u200b bureaucracy, no\u200c commercial airline, and no public school can\u200b impose the misguided policies of\u200b the past. Democrats say they&#8217;re not going to bring back mask mandates \u2013 \u200bwe&#8217;re going to hold them to their word.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The bill is a response to\u2062 the renewed push \u2063by schools, universities,\u200b businesses, hospitals, \u2062and health \u200dofficials in major cities to impose\u200c mask mandates as Covid cases rise. However, there is overwhelming evidence that masks don&#8217;t effectively stop the spread of the virus. Even the\u2062 CDC admits that cloth face coverings\u200c provide little protection against Covid.<\/p>\n<p>Even if masks did work, a majority of \u2064Americans have \u2064expressed opposition \u200dto universal masking.
