Maxwell Alejandro Frost<\/h2>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watchdog-sues-energy-department-to-learn-if-bidens-oil-releases-are-politically-motivated\/\" title=\"Watchdog Sues Energy Department To Learn If Biden\u2019s Oil Releases Are Politically Motivated\">government watchdog filed<\/a> an\u200b ethics\u200b complaint on Wednesday against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/florida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida<\/a> \u2064 Democratic \u200dRep. Maxwell Alejandro Frost that urges\u2064 an investigation into whether \u2062the \u2063congressman \u201chas abused official resources for political\u200c purposes.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/65db7681-e755-4cff-abe7-1d9e373df4db.usrfiles.com\/ugd\/65db76_e22177bb1d5e4c9dadbf920d9ee59c39.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">complaint<\/a> was filed \u200cby \u2064The Foundation \u2064for Accountability \u2063and\u200d Civic Trust (FACT) and \u200casks \u200dfor the Office\u200d of Congressional Ethics (OCE)\u200d to investigate the allegations. The complaint,\u2063 first obtained by The Daily Wire, said that Frost has\u200d used his campaign account on X to publish posts that use official \u200bgovernment \u200dresources, \u200dincluding \u200dphotographs, which could be a violation of\u2063 federal law and \u200dHouse ethics rules regulating\u2064 the\u200d social\u200d media activity of Congress.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cRep. Frost\u2019s social\u200c media use has quite\u200d clearly abused official\u200c resources and is troubling. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/government-watchdog-files-ethics-complaint-against-florida-democrat-congressman-over-alleged-abuse-of-official-resources\/\" title=\"Government watchdog files ethics complaint against Florida Democrat congressman for alleged misuse of official resources.\">law plainly requires strict separation<\/a> between campaign and official acts to both protect taxpayers from funding political\u2064 activity, and \u2064from unfairly benefiting incumbent\u200c members of \u200cCongress. Violating such a basic rule in a sphere\u200b as \u200dpublic-facing as social media is both an awful reflection on Rep. Frost and the House \u2062as a\u200d whole. While we await the OCE\u2019s investigation \u2063into this matter, the simple response here from Rep. \u2064Frost\u2064 should be to apologize and, at\u2063 a bare minimum, delete these past posts and cease this activity in the\u200d future \u2014 we hope that is what he chooses to do,\u201d Kendra \u200dArnold, the executive director of FACT, told The Daily \u200bWire.<\/p>\n<p>FACT included several examples of the \u200cposts from Frost, including several \u2062that \u200bfeatured photos taken from events which Frost attended. The complaint also noted that \u2063House ethics guidelines stipulate that campaign accounts cannot \u201cshare, like, \u2062retweet, etc., a post from an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-republicans-demand-space-force-commander-be-reinstated-after-being-fired-for-criticizing-marxism\/\" title=\"House Republicans Demand Space Force Commander Be Reinstated After Being Fired For Criticizing Marxism\">official social media account<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Frost, \u200c26, is the youngest member of \u2063Congress\u200c and was first elected in November 2022. Before\u200d his congressional\u200b run, Frost worked with March for Our Lives, \u200ba Left-leaning\u200b group that advocates for gun control.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe legal \u2063violations in this case\u2064 are clear and there\u200d are no facts that \u2062can excuse\u200b them. In\u2064 fact, Rep. Frost\u2019s \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/government-watchdog-files-ethics-complaint-against-florida-democrat-over-alleged-abuse-of-official-resources\/\" title=\"Florida Democrat Faces Ethics Complaint for Alleged Misuse of Official Resources\">campaign social\u200b media accounts demonstrate<\/a> that \u2064he consistently uses \u2064official\u2063 resources\u200c for \u2062political purposes and that he has used numerous different types\u200d of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/immigrant-business-owner-who-fled-communism-jailed-for-staying-open-supporters-back-her-with-gofundme\/\" title=\"Immigrant Business Owner Who Fled Communism Jailed For Staying Open, Supporters Back Her With GoFundMe\">taxpayer-funded resources<\/a> for his campaign,\u201d the \u2062complaint said.<\/p>\n<p>FACT \u200dpointed to Frost\u2019s campaign account\u2062 on X \u200dinteracting with official House photographs, official House work product, and reposting posts\u2063 from his official congressional\u200b account.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Office of Congressional Ethics is responsible for ensuring each Representative fulfills the public trust inherent in the office and that they comply with\u200b the House\u2019s ethical standards.
