Maxwell Frost (D-FL) with the Office \u200bof Congressional Ethics. The nonpartisan body investigates misconduct among\u2064 lawmakers and is now looking into Frost&#8217;s alleged unlawful use of &#8220;official resources for political purposes.&#8221; This includes reposting content from his campaign&#8217;s X account.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;On his campaign account, Frost has published\u200d numerous tweets using official government resources and \u200cre-posting official government content, including official photographs, work product, and\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-south-texas-sheriff-arrested-on-corruption-charges\/\" title=\"EXCLUSIVE: South Texas Sheriff Arrested on Corruption Charges\">official social media posts<\/a>,&#8221; said FACT Executive Director Kendra\u2064 Arnold in the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The legal violations in this case are clear and there\u2062 are no \u200dfacts that can excuse them,&#8221; Arnold added. &#8220;In fact, Rep.\u200d Frost\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/generation-z-democrat-maxwell-frost-accused-by-watchdog-of-illegal-social-media-usage\/\" title=\"Watchdog accuses Gen Z Democrat Maxwell Frost of illegal social media use.\">campaign\u200d social media accounts demonstrate<\/a> that he consistently uses official resources for political purposes and that\u2063 he has used numerous different types of taxpayer-funded resources for his campaign.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>One example cited \u200bin the complaint is a post \u200bfrom Frost&#8217;s official account on Aug.\u200b 9, which was reposted on his \u200ccampaign account. The post highlighted \u200bFrost&#8217;s introduction of the &#8220;End Junk Fees for Renters Act,&#8221; aimed at preventing landlords from taking advantage of tenants\u2062 with excessive fees.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2063 watchdog \u2064also pointed out that Frost&#8217;s campaign account links to his official account, which \u200cgoes against federal law and House ethics rules that require a strict separation between campaign and official websites and social media accounts. The Office of Congressional Ethics will determine whether \u2064to\u200c investigate the alleged misconduct after receiving complaints from outside groups.<\/p>\n<p>Frost, 26, took office in \u200dJanuary and represents Florida&#8217;s 10th Congressional District. He succeeded Rep. Val Demings (D-FL) and emerged victorious in\u200b a crowded primary, defeating Republican Calvin Wimbish by over 39,000 votes.<\/p>\n<p>Frost&#8217;s office has not responded to \u200brequests for comment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Because this is not an isolated incident and the violations are numerous and obvious, the Office of Congressional\u2062 Ethics must act \u200dswiftly to deter continued violations,&#8221; said Arnold. &#8220;The \u2063laws at issue in this case are important\u2063 because not only do they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrat-eric-swalwell-may-have-violated-federal-law-over-mtg-tweet-watchdog\/\" title=\"Watchdog suggests Democrat Eric Swalwell may have broken federal law with MTG tweet.\">protect taxpayer-funded resources<\/a>\u200b from abuse, they \u200dalso protect the integrity of\u200c official proceedings.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\">Click here<\/a> to read more from The Washington Examiner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A watchdog group claims freshman Democratic congressman, Rep.
