That revelation adds new\u2062 texture to the IRS whistleblowers\u2019 earlier testimony. More importantly, it\u2063 suggests a select \u200bfew DOJ and FBI agents buried the FD-1023 \u200bsent to Delaware for further investigation \u2014 a \u2063report memorializing a \u201chighly credible\u201d \u200bFBI confidential human source\u2019s claims that Burisma paid\u2064 $5 million bribes each to Hunter and Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>On\u200d Dec. 11, 2020, The New\u200b York Times\u200d ran an article titled, \u2063\u201cMaterial \u200bfrom Giuliani Spurred a Separate Justice \u200dDepart. Pursuit of Hunter \u2063Biden.\u201d As\u200b I previously <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/16\/facts-of-biden-bribery-investigation-expose-old-nyt-reporting-as-fbi-fueled-fake-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">detailed<\/a>, the Times\u2019 reporting was \u200d\u201creplete with falsehoods \u200band deceptive \u200cnarratives,\u201d\u200d and sought to paint the \u201cthen-U.S. Attorney for \u200dthe Western District of\u2062 Pennsylvania, Scott Brady,\u2062 whom Barr had tasked with screening any new material related to Ukraine,\u201d as \u2062a \u2063partisan hack out\u2063 to get the\u2062 Bidens. The article falsely represented \u2063Brady\u2064 as \u2063pushing the Delaware\u200d U.S. attorney\u2019s office to investigate\u200d the\u200c Bidens based on material \u200cprovided by\u200d Rudy Giuliani. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-294441770\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-708457106f068162cf4aca7fa4c71932 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-708457106f068162cf4aca7fa4c71932\"><\/div>\n<p>However,\u2062 as a whistleblower would later <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/grassley_to_weiss_1023.pdf\">confide<\/a> in \u2063Sen. Chuck Grassley,\u2062 the \u200dPittsburgh U.S. attorney\u2019s office had sought the investigation not of Giuliani\u2064 material, but of \u2063separate \u200cintel provided by \u200ba longtime and \u201chighly \u2062credible\u201d confidential human \u2064source (CHS) on which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-handwritten-fbi-and-doj-notes-the-special-counsel-just-released-are-huge\/\" title=\"Why Handwritten FBI And DOJ Notes The Special Counsel Just Released Are Huge\">agents briefed<\/a> the Delaware office.<\/p>\n<p>As\u2063 Grassley explained in a July\u2064 2023 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/grassley_to_weiss_1023.pdf\">letter<\/a> to\u200b Weiss, \u201c[O]n October 23, \u20632020, Justice Department and FBI \u200bSpecial Agents from the Pittsburgh\u2064 Field Office briefed Assistant\u2063 U.S. Attorney Lesley \u200dWolf, \u2063one of your top prosecutors, \u2064and FBI Special Agents from the Baltimore Field Office with respect to the contents \u200dof\u2062 the FBI-generated \u200bFD-1023 alleging a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/that-would-be-a-crime-sen-hawley-says-we-must-see-document-allegedly-revealing-biden-criminal-bribery-scheme\/\" title=\"Sen. Hawley insists on seeing the document that allegedly exposes Biden's criminal bribery scheme, calling it a potential crime.\">criminal bribery scheme involving<\/a> then-Vice\u2063 President Biden and \u200dHunter Biden.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Grassley would later \u2062release a\u2062 minimally redacted copy of the FD-1023, which \u200bconfirmed \u2064the information provided to the\u2064 Delaware\u200d office came not\u200c from Giuliani, but from the CHS. <\/p>\n<p>An individual familiar with that Oct. \u200d23 meeting previously <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/09\/05\/exclusive-fbi-lies-about-highly-credible-source-claims-were-leaked-to-nyt-and-spoonfed-to-weiss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">confirmed<\/a> to The Federalist that Weiss\u2064 was \u2062not present for it. That detail gained new significance last week when FOIA documents, obtained \u2063by the Heritage Foundation following its lawsuit against the DOJ, revealed that one \u200cof Weiss\u2019s \u200btop assistant \u2063U.S. attorneys forwarded him the Times article portraying the Pittsburgh evidence\u200b as originating from \u200bGiuliani. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-e68dbf4f2a5b9dfd199370852d78ea6a fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-e68dbf4f2a5b9dfd199370852d78ea6a\"><\/div>\n<p>With\u200d the Times piece purportedly sourced to \u201cfive current and former\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rapid-reactions-government-corruption-from-d-c-to-wuhan\/\" title=\"Government corruption: D.C. to Wuhan, a global concern.\">law \u200cenforcement officials<\/a> and others with knowledge \u2063of F.B.I. interactions\u200c with\u2064 the Justice Department,\u201d\u00a0unless someone\u2063 told Weiss\u2063 about the FD-1023 or its \u2064contents, Weiss would have had no basis to know the Pittsburgh office had \u2063given the Delaware office independent evidence of Biden family corruption. And this was evidence that had already been partially corroborated, as the Pennsylvania-based agents detailed in the briefing on Oct. 23,\u2062 2020. <\/p>\n<p>So the key question, as \u200dGrassley <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/24\/fbi-told-delaware-u-s-attorney-it-had-already-partially-corroborated-biden-bribery-claims-source-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">asked<\/a> Weiss,\u200d is when did he first learn of \u200bthe FD-1023? <\/p>\n<p>Weiss has yet to answer that \u2064question. But IRS whistleblower\u2063 Gary Shapley\u2019s testimony and supplemental\u200d affidavit \u2064suggest Wolf and\u2062 the Baltimore agents \u200bbriefed by Pittsburgh about the\u2062 FD-1023\u2063 buried that\u2064 evidence. <\/p>\n<p>During Shapley\u2019s testimony to the House Ways and \u2064Means Committee, the IRS\u200b special agent made no mention of\u200b the FD-1023. Later, though, after former Attorney General William \u200cBarr confirmed to The Federalist that the\u2064 FD-1023 had been sent to Delaware for further investigation, Shapley submitted a \u2064supplemental affidavit.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8b629a77b29350ea9f70ab9e9c526737 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8b629a77b29350ea9f70ab9e9c526737\"><\/div>\n<p>In it, Shapley <a href=\"https:\/\/waysandmeans.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/WB-1-Affadavit_Redacted.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> no one provided him, the line IRS\u2062 agents acting under his\u2063 supervision, or the FBI agents working\u200c with\u200b the \u2062IRS the FD-1023 or any \u200cof the\u2064 details included in the \u2062FD-1023. Shapley \u200cfurther stated \u2063that\u200d he and other IRS investigators had requested to be included in the \u2064briefing from the Pittsburgh office but their requests\u2063 were denied. <\/p>\n<p>One tidbit\u200b from Shapley\u2019s testimony to the\u200d House Ways and Means Committee further suggests Wolf and whoever else from the FBI Baltimore field \u200doffice attended the \u2063October briefing buried the FD-1023. <\/p>\n<p>In discussing a Dec. 3, 2020,\u2063 meeting of the Delaware prosecution team \u2014 a meeting\u2064 Weiss \u2062was in and out of \u2014 Shapley noted\u2063 his team wanted to interview\u200c one of Hunter \u2062Biden\u2019s associates to ask him, among other \u200dthings, what \u201cTen held \u200dby H\u2062 for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-investigator-says-home-republicans-have-hunter-bidens-laptop\/\" title=\"GOP Investigator Says Home Republicans Have Hunter Biden\u2019s Laptop\">big guy\u201d referenced<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut\u2063 AUSA Wolf interjected and\u2062 said she did not want to ask about the big guy,\u201d Shapley explained. Then \u2064when, as the IRS whistleblower put it, \u201cmultiple people in the room spoke up and objected that\u200c we had to ask,\u201d Wolf responded, \u201cthere\u2019s no\u2063 specific criminality to that line of questioning.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>While \u201cmultiple people in \u2062the room\u201d allegedly objected to Wolf\u2019s limits on\u2063 questioning, none of them apparently challenged Wolf\u2019s claim that there was \u201cno specific criminality.\u201d\u200b Nor did \u2064anyone present raise \u200dthe FD-1023 or the CHS. <\/p>\n<p>Surely, \u2064they would\u2062 have, though \u2014 if they\u200d knew about its existence. <\/p>\n<p>This again \u2063raises the question: Who knew \u200dof the\u200b FD-1023, and when\u200b did Weiss learn of its existence?<\/p>\n<p>From Grassley\u2019s whistleblower, it appears Wolf included at least\u2063 two Baltimore field office agents in the brief. However, from Shapley\u2019s testimony, \u2062it appears the Baltimore\u200c field agents Wolf allowed to participate\u200b in \u2064the briefing were not\u2062 the ones working Hunter\u2019s case \u2014 which makes no sense. <\/p>\n<p>That is, unless you are trying to bury \u200cthe evidence.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1ccf1abaed30d56767f7d0e410b4714f fdrlst__b89e9-after-post-content\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1ccf1abaed30d56767f7d0e410b4714f\"><\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">    \t\t\t\t\t   \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Federalist&#8217;s recent scoop exposed how U.S. Attorney David Weiss was misled by The New York Times regarding the Pittsburgh U.S. attorney&#8217;s involvement in investigating Rudy Giuliani&#8217;s allegations of Biden family corruption.
