The officer documented the colleague&#8217;s comment, stating, &#8220;He was frustrated and\u2064 whispered to me \u200dthat &#8216;the whole side is going to come\u2062 down.'&#8221; However, when \u2064the\u200c officer suggested reporting it to supervisors, the coworker claimed that they were\u200c told to &#8220;back off and don&#8217;t worry\u2064 about it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>None of the individuals mentioned in the email responded to requests for comment, and the Assistant City Attorney stated that city employees are not authorized to address media inquiries.<\/p>\n<p>Since the building collapse, multiple lawsuits have been filed by residents alleging negligence \u2063on the part of the building\u2062 owner, engineering company, and city officials.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>after the collapse.
