min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>The 58-second footage, which was \u2062reportedly intended \u2064for the dark web, shows a man identified only as \u200d\u201cSanchez\u201d speaking \u200bto another person who is seen digging a \u2062grave \u200cbehind him while dressed in\u200b all black and wearing a black skeleton \u2064mask.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Screenshot from the AI-generated fraud-for-hire video uncovered by \u200cMaimon.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Maimon provided context for the video in a \u2062LinkedIn post.<\/p>\n<p>He reported that this was \u200c\u201c[an] update to\u2062 some of\u200b his concerned customers who haven\u2019t seen him on \u200bthe online underground market for few \u2064weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Haywood Talcove, \u2063CEO of LexisNexis Risk\u200d Solutions\u2019\u200c Government Group, these\u2063 organizations are responsible for the majority of the \u200cpandemic fraud that cost \u2064the nation billions of dollars, and they are now employing generative AI to\u200d remain covert\u200d while growing\u200b their criminal empire.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cWhen you think of \u200bpandemic fraud, \u2064and\u2063 modern-day cybercriminal fraud targeting\u200c the government, \u2062you usually think\u2062 of low-level\u2062 fraudsters acting alone,\u201d Talcove said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>One\u2063 example he \u200bused was how an online criminal had submitted at least a dozen unemployment applications during the pandemic\u200b using\u200c a plethora of \u2064stolen identities.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cIn reality, those \u2064who commit government fraud and get caught \u200care the tip of the iceberg,\u201d\u200b Talcove said. \u201cThey\u2019re \u200dlike \u200cthe street-level \u200cdrug dealers who get\u2064 arrested.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a whole machine behind them that, at this point, closely resembles the 20<sup>th<\/sup> century\u200b Italian\u200d mob, or modern day\u00a0drug\u2064 cartels,\u201d he\u200b continued.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>International cybergangs from countries\u200c like Russia, Nigeria, and China, \u200damong hundreds of others, have operated a fraud-as-a-service sector\u2062 on the dark web for years.<\/p>\n<p>Mega Darknet Market, which Talcove described \u2063as\u200c one of the \u2064largest businesses \u200din \u200cthe world, is shown in the \u2063posted\u2062 video. <\/p>\n<p>According to Talcove, the video provided a first look into how \u2064these businesses sell\u2064 other criminals \u201cmule accounts,\u201d which are bank accounts created from stolen identities, \u2064as well as generative AI and \u201cdeepfake\u201d capabilities.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThis video is proof of\u200b what \u2064I\u2019ve been saying, that there are some very \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/criminal-enterprise-utilizes-a-i-in-eerie-fraud-for-hire-dark-web-ad\/\" title=\"AI Powers Criminal Enterprise's Dark Web Fraud-For-Hire\">organized institutions \u2063empowering\u200c low-level fraudsters<\/a> from all over the world,\u201d Talcove\u200b said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>These global groups also \u200dreportedly supply other\u2063 criminals with the AI \u200ctechnology and tools they need to carry\u2062 out \u200c\u201csextortion\u201d schemes, which often target\u200d pre-teens\u200b or young adults and have resulted in \u2064suicides in many cases.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThis is very\u2062 important\u2062 trend that has largely gone unnoticed,\u201d Talcove\u2064 continued. \u201cThe pandemic \u200dprompted a transformation of America\u2019s criminals \u200cand gangs \u200dfrom gun-running \u200band drug \u200ddealing to \u2064unemployment fraud, SNAP \u200dfraud and PPP fraud\u2026 Those on the front-lines, doing the dirty work \u2064can make millions.\u200d The \u200cfraud-as-a-service organizations that \u2062give the criminals these the tools, data and means to do \u200bso are making far more than that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Stay informed!
