Buffett\u2019s sister, Laurie Buffett McGuane, and her husband, author Tom McGuane, \u200dspoke \u2062with \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/jimmy-buffett-sister-says-final-days-were-filled-with-laughter-exclusive-7965345\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">People<\/a> about the \u201cMargaritaville\u201d \u200csinger\u2019s last days. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cHe was always high-spirited,\u2063 fun-loving, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/entertainment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">hard working<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  \u200c and creative,\u201d \u200dTom told the outlet. \u201cIt is \u2062remarkable to \u2064be able to say that he \u200bremained the same during the last month of his life. His sense of humor was \u200dfully intact. God bless him for keeping\u200c himself that way.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Laurie said she and her sister Lucy were\u2063 with \u200cJimmy when\u200c he died. She also recalled\u200b talking about\u2064 growing up \u2063in Alabama \u2062before his passing.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe shared memories of\u200d our childhood\u2064 with Jimmy during his last\u2064 days,\u201d Laurie\u200d said. \u201cWe would repeat stories, and Jimmy would\u2062 laugh and\u2064 nod his head to let us know that he remembered. I have never seen Jimmy depressed ever. Not even at \u2062the end. We all\u200b like to joke and laugh and that was\u200c very much Jimmy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cHe brought joy \u200bto so many. I am very emotional \u200bnow,\u201d she continued. \u201cWhen Jimmy was in the \u2063world, I felt safe. Even though I have Tom, it will be a whole new thing for me\u200c to be\u200d without my brother Jimmy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Laurie also shared a childhood photo on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CwsTloQrEGW\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram<\/a>. \u201cLulu [ Lucy] and I\u200c were \u200djust \u200bwith Bubba [Buffett\u2019s nickname]. We talked about our childhood where only siblings can relate. I \u2063told him I\u2019ve known\u2062 him longer than anyone on the planet. He smiled with those twinkling blue eyes and squeezed my \u200chand,\u201d she wrote in the caption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Buffett is also survived by his wife Jane, daughters Savannah and\u2063 Delaney, and son Cameron.
