(Scott Olson\/Getty \u200dImages)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<h2>Soaring Cost of Living<\/h2>\n<p>They noted that \u200bwhile \u2063California\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/its-official-trump-crushes-record-for-largest-gdp-increase-in-us-history-3rd-quarter-gdp-up-33-1\/\" title=\"IT'S OFFICIAL: Trump Crushes Record for Largest GDP Increase in US History -- 3rd Quarter GDP Up 33.1%\">gross domestic product<\/a>\u2064 (GDP)\u200b rose 8 percent, making it one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/5-woke-corporations-who-condemned-georgia-while-still-doing-business-with-china\/\" title=\"5 \u2018Woke\u2019 Corporations Who Condemned Georgia \u2026 While Still Doing Business With China\">fastest-growing economies<\/a> \u2064in the United States behind only\u200d Hawaii and Nevada, its cost\u2063 of \u2063living is\u200c still extremely high, behind only Hawaii and \u2064Alaska.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, California&#8217;s average weekly\u2062 wages fell by 0.6 percent over\u200b the course of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At the same time, while Texas saw only 6.4 percent growth, its wages rose 6.4 percent and its\u200b cost-of-living is \u200cone of the lowest\u2064 in the country,&#8221;\u200d the report\u200c noted. &#8220;The same can\u2019t\u200d be said for Arizona. Its prices rose in 2022, mostly due to increased demand for housing. Nonetheless, Arizona\u2019s cost-of-living is still \u200bnowhere near as high as California\u2019s \u2063cost-of-living, and its wages \u2064grew 5.8 percent over the same period,&#8221; analysts added.<\/p>\n<p>Employment opportunities \u2062are another motivating factor behind Americans fleeing certain states, the report noted, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/illinois-tops-list-of-states-americans-fled-in-2022-report\/\" title=\"Illinois leads in states Americans fled in 2022: Report.\">citing slow job \u200bgrowth<\/a> \u200bin \u200cstates such\u200b as Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Illinois\u2063 when compared\u200c to North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;New Jersey has seen large job \u200bgrowth, but is significantly\u2063 more expensive than states further south, explaining why it continues \u200cto lose\u200d population,&#8221; the report added.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, housing is another significant motivating factor,\u2063 with the\u200b report noting home prices in New York City currently stand \u200bat 119 percent above \u2064the national average.<\/p>\n<p>House prices in Anaheim, California, meanwhile are roughly 140 percent above the national average, \u2063while in San Diego residents can expect to pay more than 166 percent above the national \u200baverage.<\/p>\n<h2>Crime, \u200dEconomy Playing \u2064Significant\u200b Role<\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;Chicago is an outlier among outbound cities this year, the \u2064only one with a \u200bhousing market \u200dbelow the national average,\u200b a sign other \u200cfactors (e.g. \u200bcrime, economy) play a more significant role in its migration patterns,&#8221; analysts said.<\/p>\n<p>Another reason for \u200bthe move may be the end of COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns\u200d and restrictions, which \u200dhave given back Americans the freedom to live where they prefer, in areas with\u200b cheaper housing and better access to nature, according\u200c to Allied Van Lines.<\/p>\n<p>Crime \u2064is likely another big factor.<\/p>\n<p>In the first three weeks<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the fourth consecutive year, Illinois remains the leading state from which Americans are rapidly migrating, as per a recent report by Allied Van Lines.
