(At the time of the August podcast episode, Ryan had quit gambling two months prior.)<\/p>\n<p>Ramsey\u2019s first question was\u2063 in regards to the\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/%ef%bf%bcfalcons-calvin-ridley-suspended-for-2022-season-for-betting-on-nfl-games\/\" title=\"\ufffcFalcons\u2019 Calvin Ridley Suspended for 2022 Season for Betting on NFL Games\">gambling problem<\/a>: \u201cAre you seeing a therapist or anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the Wednesday before his call with Ramsey, Ryan had \u200dhis very \u2064first meeting with \u2063a \u2064Christian counselor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood \u2062for you.\u200d That\u2019s what I was\u2063 worried about,\u201d Ramsey said.<\/p>\n<p>With the emotional and spiritual problems seemingly taken care of, Ramsey moved on to Ryan\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hidden-homeless-more-people-living-in-vehicles-due-to-covid-hardships\/\" title=\"\u2018Hidden Homeless\u2019: More People Living In Vehicles Due To COVID Hardships\">financial situation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Strict\u200c Budget and\u2062 Debt Repayment<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cThe thing we\u2019re going to do \u2063with your money \u200bis we\u2019re going to put you on a very strict\u200b budget where you don\u2019t get to do anything except pay off debt,\u201d Ramsey said.\u2063 \u201cI want you to list your debts, smallest to largest, and start paying them in that order.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t\u200d want you going \u2063out to eat, I don\u2019t want you in a bar \u2063and I don\u2019t \u200cwant you doing anything except working and getting these debts cleaned up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ramsey wasn\u2019t kidding about getting the debts paid off as soon as possible.
