The recall comes after a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/conagra-recalls-over-245000-pounds-of-frozen-chicken-strips-after-customer-injury\/\" title=\"Conagra recalls 245K+ lbs of frozen chicken strips due to customer injury.\">consumer reported suffering \u200coral injuries<\/a> from the\u2063 product, \u2064according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture&#8217;s Food\u2064 Safety and Inspection Service \u2064(FSIS).<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Sept. 2, FSIS \u2062announced that \u2064Conagra is recalling approximately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsis.usda.gov\/recalls-alerts\/conagra-brands-inc--recalls-banquet-brand-frozen-chicken-strips-entree-due-possible\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">245,366 pounds<\/a> of frozen\u200d Banquet\u2062 chicken strip entree \u200dmeals produced on June 20, July 11, and \u200dJuly \u200d17 this year.<\/p>\n<p>These \u200cproducts can be identified by\u200c the establishment number &#8220;EST. These products should be thrown\u2064 away\u2064 or \u2063returned to the \u2063place of purchase,&#8221; FSIS advised.<\/p>\n<p>The issue was brought to light when \u200cConagra received a consumer complaint\u200b regarding\u200d plastic found in the\u2062 chicken strip portion \u200dof the product. \u200bThe consumer suffered an oral injury as\u2063 a result.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;FSIS\u200b has received no additional \u2062reports of injury or illness from consumption of these\u200b products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should \u2064contact a \u200bhealthcare provider,&#8221; the \u2064department stated.<\/p>\n<p>On the\u2063 same\u2062 day, FSIS also announced that Hillshire Brands Company recalled<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsis.usda.gov\/recalls-alerts\/hillshire-brands-company-recalls-smoked-sausage-products-due-possible-foreign-matter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> 15,876 pounds<\/a> of blended meat and\u2064 poultry smoked sausage\u200d products that may be \u200dcontaminated with bone fragments.\u2063 These items were distributed to retail \u2062stores in \u2062California, Maryland, \u200bNew Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. A consumer reported an oral injury after consuming\u200c this product.<\/p>\n<h2>Over 2.6 Million\u2063 Pounds of Meat Products\u2062 Recalled<\/h2>\n<p>Earlier \u2062this year, Conagra recalled \u200dapproximately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/article\/conagra-recalls-2-6-million-pounds-of-meat-products-following-contamination-risk-5031537\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2,581,816 pounds<\/a> of canned meat and poultry products due\u2064 to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/californians-receiving-unemployment-must-start-looking-for-work-next-month-to-remain-eligible\/\" title=\"Californians Receiving Unemployment Must Start Looking For Work Next Month To Remain Eligible\">potential health risks<\/a> associated with contamination.<\/p>\n<p>FSIS stated that the recall was \u200cinitiated because of a \u2064packaging\u200b defect that could lead to contamination.\u2064 The contamination may \u2064not be \u2064visibly \u2064apparent\u2064 in\u2063 the products.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The\u200d problem was discovered when the establishment notified FSIS after observing spoiled \u200dand\/or leaking cans from multiple production dates at the establishment\u2019s warehouse,&#8221; FSIS explained.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Subsequent investigation by the\u200d establishment determined that the cans\u2062 subject to recall may have been \u200cdamaged in a manner that is not readily\u200d apparent\u2064 to consumers, which may \u2062allow \u2063foodborne pathogens to enter the cans,&#8221; it added.<\/p>\n<p>No \u2063confirmed reports of adverse reactions resulting from consumption have been received.
