In\u200c a 2015 interview, she revealed\u200b her battle with Lyme disease and chronic dizziness, which had persisted for over a decade. Despite her health\u200b challenges, Young maintained hope for improvement and recognized the \u2062ways in which God had used her\u2062 difficult times \u2063for\u200d good.<\/p>\n<p>Young gained widespread recognition for her devotional book, &#8220;Jesus Calling,&#8221; published in 2004. \u200cThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/professor-shelter-animals-are-being-euthanized-because-of-capitalism-white-supremacy\/\" title=\"Professor: Shelter Animals Are Being Euthanized Because Of \u2018Capitalism,\u2019 \u2018White Supremacy\u2019\">book presents<\/a> \u2062itself as a personal conversation between Jesus and the reader, offering\u2064 words of encouragement \u200dand inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>Before becoming an author, Young and her husband served as missionaries in Japan\u2063 and Western Australia. She earned a master&#8217;s degree in biblical studies and counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary.<\/p>\n<p>In \u200baddition to &#8220;Jesus\u2063 Calling,&#8221; Young authored several other\u200b books, including &#8220;Jesus\u200d Always&#8221; \u200cand\u2062 &#8220;Jesus Listens,&#8221; as well as various storybooks and children&#8217;s\u2062 devotionals. Her works have been translated into over 30 languages and have sold more than \u200d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/christian-author-behind-top-devotional-series-dies-at-77\/\" title=\"Christian author of popular devotional series passes away at 77.\">45 million copies worldwide<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mark \u200dSchoenwald, president and CEO of HarperCollins Christian Publishing, expressed his gratitude\u2063 for having\u200c Young as \u200dpart of their publishing family. He acknowledged the profound impact\u200d her words have\u2062 had on \u200cpeople&#8217;s \u200clives and\u200c the lasting legacy she leaves behind.<\/p>\n<p>A memorial service\u2062 for Sarah Young will be held on\u2063 September 9 at Christ Presbyterian\u200c Church \u200cin Nashville, \u2063Tennessee.
