The lawsuit claimed Burger King\u2019s new ads show a deceptively large burger in\u200c which the meat \u201c\u2018overflow[s] the bun,\u2019 making it appear the burgers\u200c are 35 percent larger and\u2063 contain more than double the meat than the chain serves.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Burger King reportedly\u2064 facing lawsuit because its Whoppers\u200b are too small <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/CcLeAiuOTe\">pic.twitter.com\/CcLeAiuOTe<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 \u2064Daily Loud (@DailyLoud) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DailyLoud\/status\/1696568091654713420?\">August 29, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">A US judge has ruled that Burger\u200d King must face a lawsuit as what you see is not what you get.<\/p>\n<p>Reportedly, their Whopper burger appears larger on \u200cits menus than it is \u200din reality hence\u200c they\u2019ve been \u2064accused of misleading the public.<\/p>\n<p>On \u200dthis note, there are\u2062 some food vendors in\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Y1IhRmYCh0\">pic.twitter.com\/Y1IhRmYCh0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 SIKAOFFICIAL (@SIKAOFFICIAL1) \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SIKAOFFICIAL1\/status\/1696984234479554579?\">August 30, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Burger King\u2019s parent company, Restaurant Brands International, said that it\u2019s not a requirement for the food \u200cto exactly match what\u2019s featured on the menu.<\/p>\n<p>But <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/miami-mother-accused-attempting-hire-hit-man-kill-3-year-old-son\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Miami<\/a> U.S. District Judge\u200c Roy Altman rejected\u200d the franchise\u2019s bid to \u2064dismiss the lawsuit, saying it will be up \u200dto jurors to assess with \u2062is \u201creasonable\u201d customer expectation, Reuters reported.<\/p>\n<p>It will be interesting to see how the jury ultimately rules in this case \u2014 if they\u2064 don\u2019t settle out\u2064 of court.<\/p>\n<h3>The Problem\u2064 of False Advertising<\/h3>\n<p>On the one \u200chand, we live in a world of fake marketing.<\/p>\n<p>If a woman assumes that just by using a certain hair product or makeup line she will suddenly look like the\u200b airbrushed models standing under bright lights with giant fans blowing their hair\u2062 perfectly in time to inspirational\u2064 music, she will most likely\u200b be sadly disappointed.<\/p>\n<p>As will anyone who buys a car or \u2064minivan, assuming\u200c it will somehow transform their children into perfect angels fascinated with\u2062 butterflies and the great outdoors.<\/p>\n<p>There is something to be said for common sense.<\/p>\n<p>To be perfectly honest, those customers\u2064 probably added a few days to their\u200b lives by eating a burger that was smaller than the one shown in the advertisements.<\/p>\n<p>That said, false advertising is\u200d a huge problem in America. Consumers who fall victim to these deceptive tactics \u2063can find themselves squandering their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hate-being-spewed-in-the-name-of-patriotism-wapo-opinion-attacks-anthem-before-games-2\/\" title=\"\u2018Hate Being Spewed In The Name Of Patriotism\u2019: WaPo Opinion Attacks Anthem Before Games\">hard-earned money<\/a> on products or services that fail to deliver as promised.<\/p>\n<p>In some cases, such as in so-called health\u200d products, it can\u200b add to obesity and ill health while giving the appearance of a healthy choice.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Michelle Obama is \u2064peddling \u2063a sugary juice to our children.\u200d It\u2019s called PLEZI.
