They include United \u2064Health Services\u200d in Binghamton,\u200c Auburn Community \u2063Hospital in \u200dAuburn, University Hospital\u200b in Syracuse, \u2062and Samaritan \u2064Health\u200b facilities in Watertown, also located upstate.<\/p>\n<p>This week, Samaritan Health Facilities announced that it \u2062would require masking\u2063 for staff, \u200cpatients, and visitors. A public relations\u200c official\u200b with the hospital, Leslie DiStefano, claimed\u200c it is being done\u2063 because \u2064\u201cwe\u2064 know &#8230; that [masking] absolutely \u2064works,\u201d despite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/opinion\/more-than-150-comparative-studies-and-articles-on-mask-ineffectiveness-and-harms-4230904\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an abundance\u2062 of \u2063studies<\/a> showing otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, United Health Services in \u2064Binghamton, New York, confirmed that it would\u2062 again require masks \u200bfor patients, visitors, staff, and doctors. \u201cBecause of an \u2063uptick in COVID-19 cases, masks are\u200c once \u200dagain required in all clinical areas at\u200d UHS Wilson Medical Center, UHS Binghamton General Hospital, \u2064UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital and UHS \u200cDelaware Valley Hospital, as well as primary and \u2062specialty \u2063care sites,\u201d United Health Services stated on its website.<\/p>\n<p>The policy, imposed last week, is \u201cin effect \u200cimmediately for all patients,\u200b visitors, employees, medical staff, \u200dvolunteers, students and\u2064 vendors.\u201d\u200b It added: \u201cMasks are \u200crequired \u200dat nurses\u2019 stations and in conference rooms within clinical departments, including areas where patients register, wait, transport through, or\u2064 receive testing and care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in New York, Auburn Community Hospital in Auburn, located upstate, said on Aug. \u206319, about \u2062a month \u2064after its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mask-mandate-return-sparks-we-will-not-comply-trend\/\" title=\"Mask mandate resurgence fuels 'No Compliance' movement.\">previous mask mandate ended<\/a>, that it would again be requiring masks on-site. \u200cThat\u200c applies to anyone going inside the facility, regardless of vaccination status.<\/p>\n<p>Also in mid-August, University Hospital in Syracuse, New York, reinstated masking for everyone entering \u2064the \u200bbuilding. The \u2062hospital\u2019s mandate was only lifted \u200ca few months prior to that, in\u2064 late April.<\/p>\n<p>Kaiser Permanente in \u2064Santa Rosa, \u200bCalifornia, also \u200dreimposed a mandate for\u200c staff, doctors, and nurses, \u200dbut not patients \u200cor visitors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur intent was to communicate that as of Tuesday, we\u200c have expanded\u2064 the masking requirement for \u2062our employees and \u2063physicians\u200d to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cdc-78-2m-doses-of-covid-vaccines-have-been-administered\/\" title=\"CDC: 78.2M doses of COVID vaccines have been administered\">medical offices<\/a> \u200cand clinic settings; we apologize \u2063for any confusion among\u200b Press Democrat readers,\u201d\u2063 Kaiser\u2062 said in its latest statement.<\/p>\n<p>Mask mandates were also\u2063 implemented\u200c at\u2064 Hollywood studio Lionsgate in Santa Monica, California, \u200cin recent days.
