We\u200c thought it\u2019d be a girl,&#8217;\u201d Diana said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd Mummy snapped his \u2062head \u2063off and said, \u2018You should realize how lucky you are to\u200c have a\u2062 child \u200cthat\u2019s normal,&#8217;\u201d Diana said, noting the incident had \u2062consequences.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd ever since that day, a shutter [has] come down, \u2063and that\u2019s what he does when he \u200cgets somebody <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gerrit-cole-anthony-rizzo-lead-yankees-to-win-over-guardians-in-game-1\/\" title=\"Gerrit Cole &#038; Anthony Rizzo Lead Yankees to Win Over Guardians in Game 1\">answering back<\/a> at him, so to speak,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In another recording, \u2062Diana \u2064spoke about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/newly-released-records-show-emotional-request-buckingham-palace-princess-dianas-funeral\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">her troubles<\/a> with Raine Spencer, her stepmother.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAnd I said, \u2018Pain, Raine, it\u2019s one word you \u200ddon\u2019t even know how to relate to. In my \u2062job and in my role, I see people suffer like you\u2019ve never seen, and you call that pain.\u2019 I said, \u2018You\u2019ve got a lot to learn,\u2019\u201d Diana said. \u201cI remember \u2063really going for her gullet.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In \u2062one short \u2063passage, Diana spoke about her marriage to Charles, from whom\u200c she was divorced in 1996, a year before her\u2062 death.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt was \u2062so grown up. Here\u2019s \u2062Diana, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rep-scalise-biden-cowering-to-teachers-union-delaying-reopening-schools\/\" title=\"Rep. Scalise: Biden cowering to teachers union, delaying reopening schools\">kindergarten teacher<\/a>. I mean the whole thing was ridiculous,\u201d she said in the clip, \u2063according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/09\/01\/new-audio-tapes-detail-dianas-ridiculous-marriage-to-charles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New \u2062York Post.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Dr. James Colthurst, who gave \u200dthe tapes to Andrew Morton, Diana\u2019s \u2064biographer, said Charles\u2019s affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, now Queen Camilla, had a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kate-middleton-pays-touching-tribute-princess-diana-royal-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">severe impact<\/a> on \u2064Diana.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cYou could see her \u200cfading physically,\u201d\u200d Colthurst said. \u200d\u201cIt was clear to\u200c all those who knew her\u200d that the bulimia was a reaction to the circumstances she found \u200dherself in.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Morton, who used the tapes for his bestselling 1992 book <strong>\u201cDiana: Her True Story,\u201d<\/strong> said\u200b the tapes will help \u2063people get a better\u200b sense of Diana according \u200bto Good Morning America.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s one thing to read something on a page, but it\u2019s \u200bquite another to hear\u200d the person talking about it, and\u2064 here we have \u200dDiana talking about her ambitions for the future,\u201d Morton said, according to Good Morning America. \u201cThere\u2019s a real poignancy about some of the aspects of the tape, and I think people will get a really vivid sense of her personality and her character.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Tom Jennings, director and executive producer of the new documentary, \u2062said it has a different concept than any project <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-princess-dianas-iconic-garment-goes-auction-expected-bring-small-fortune\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previously done<\/a> about Diana.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI said, \u2018Andrew, wait. We do this completely different. There\u2019s no narrator. There are no modern-day interviews. We only use media from the time. It would be like Diana is narrating her own \u200bfilm,&#8217;\u201d Jennings said. \u201cAnd he said, \u2018No one has ever asked me to do it\u200b that way before. When can you come to London?&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jennings continued, \u201cI was in London the next\u2064 morning.
