The lawsuit alleges that the \u2062girls were forced to accept the presence of biological males in facilities, such as restrooms and locker rooms, that were designed \u200bfor use by female students.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThis case is about the intentional violation of children\u2019s fundamental right to bodily privacy contrary to constitutional and statutory principles, including the Fourteenth \u200dAmendment,\u201d the lawsuit\u2062 reads.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The lawsuit claims that Vicksburg High School has allowed boys into these areas without informing the students or their \u200cparents. When \u200cthe girls reported an incident where a boy exposed \u2063himself\u200d in the girls&#8217; bathroom, they were dismissed by school administrators \u2063who\u2064 claimed that &#8220;the law was settled&#8221; and that they should &#8220;tolerate it&#8221; and make it as &#8220;natural&#8221; as possible.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cDefendants told Plaintiffs they needed to \u2062\u2018tolerate \u200dit\u2019 and make it as \u2018natural\u2019\u200d as they possibly\u200d could,\u201d the suit reads. <em>A tacit admission,\u200c if true, that the situation is indeed\u2064 unnatural. \u2014 Ed. note<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The\u2063 girls also allege that they were instructed not to embarrass the\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cnn-reporter-claims-impossible-to-know-babys-gender-at-birth\/\" title=\"CNN reporter claims impossible to know baby\u2019s gender at birth\">biological male student<\/a> and \u2063were told to &#8220;look away&#8221; \u2062and not &#8220;bully&#8221; him. The lawsuit argues that\u2064 other female students have also expressed\u2064 fear and anxiety\u2064 about sharing \u2063restrooms with\u200c boys, with some \u200dchoosing to\u200d hold their urine all day rather than use the school\u200c restroom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany female students are using the bathroom only one time a day out \u2063of fear and anxiety that a male \u200bstudent could\u2063 be using the bathroom with them,\u201d one mother, \u2062identified only as \u201cHeather,\u201d told <a href=\"https:\/\/wwmt.com\/news\/local\/vicksburg-schools-bathroom-locker-room-students-boys-girls-transgender-parents-lawsuit-gender-identity-policy-title-nine-privacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WWMT<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit also mentions an incident where a biological male using the girls&#8217; restroom stared down one of the\u200c plaintiffs\u2062 in\u2062 a threatening manner, causing her to fear for her safety.<\/p>\n<p>The plaintiffs&#8217;\u2062 attorney, Matthew DePerno, stated that school \u200bofficials had not informed students or parents \u200cabout the \u2062change in policy and that the principal \u2062had told \u200cthem there was nothing they could do about it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe biological males who want to use the girls\u2019 restrooms, in other school districts they are denied that \u200cand provided with a unisex bathroom to use,\u201d he argued.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/parents-suing-school-district-after-girls-told-to-tolerate-alleged-threatening-encounter-with-exposed-male-in-bathroom\/\" title=\"Parents sue school district over girls being told to 'tolerate' alleged 'threatening' encounter with exposed male in bathroom.\">local school board\u200b president expressed\u2063 dissatisfaction<\/a> with the\u200b policy at a meeting, stating that current binding\u2062 case law in Michigan requires public schools \u2064to \u200callow transgender students to use restrooms that\u2063 correspond with their gender identification.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou need\u200d to take it up with your state\u200c legislators,\u201d he said. \u201cWe need to have some action at the state \u200blevel, we are kind of caught in the middle of \u2063it all.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Legal Action and Demands<\/h3>\n<p>The families involved in the lawsuit are seeking admissions from the defendants that \u2063their actions were illegal. \u2063They are also demanding an end to \u2062the policy that allows boys to use girls&#8217; restrooms and locker rooms, as well as court and attorney costs.
