However, not all organization\u200b types are seeing this same trend.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The gap of cats and dogs waiting for an\u2063 outcome reached 7 percent in \u2062the first half of\u200b the year, \u2063leading to an increase in animal populations at already burdened shelters, rescues, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/government-is-marketing-censorship-tools-to-big-tech-to-gag-conservatives\/\" title=\"Government Is Marketing Censorship Tools To Big Tech To Gag Conservatives\">government-funded organizations<\/a> in every region \u2062of the U.S,&#8221; the report added.<\/p>\n<p>SAC\u200c emphasized that animal organizations are struggling with &#8220;overcapacity status&#8221; and urgently need community support. For instance, the Aurora animal shelter \u2063has posted on its website that it \u200cis currently unable to accept any owner-surrendered dogs due to their\u2064 dog kennels reaching capacity.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As we look back at the second quarter of 2023, one issue stands out to me\u2062 more than the rest: the continuing decline of animal \u2063transfers between organizations,&#8221; said SAC executive \u2062director Stephanie Filer. &#8220;In Q1, \u200cwe saw some hope that the bottleneck in transfers may be \u200dstarting to ease. Unfortunately, that hope was short-lived. \u2064Now in Q2, transfers in and out of organizations\u200d have hit their lowest point in the past three years.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Denver animal shelter has euthanized 866 dogs and cats \u2064as of August, the highest number in five years.
