We will not allow Mr. Fain\u2019s tactics to distract us from that important work to secure\u200b the future for our employees,&#8221; said Ms.\u200c Fortunate.<\/p>\n<p>GM Executive Vice-President of Global Manufacturing, Gerald Johnson,\u200c strongly refuted the unfair labor charges.<\/p>\n<p>Through\u200d a \u2063spokesman, Mr. Johnson told The\u200c Epoch Times, &#8220;We are surprised by and\u200d strongly refute\u200b the NLRB charge filed\u200d by \u200dthe \u200cInternational UAW. We believe it\u2064 has no \u2063merit and\u200c is an\u2064 insult\u2063 to the bargaining committees.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have been\u2064 hyper-focused on negotiating\u2063 directly and in good faith with the UAW and are making progress,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The pace\u200d of negotiations is \u2064based on how quickly both parties \u200dresolve nearly 1,000 UAW\u200d demands, including more than 90\u200d presented this week. \u200dOur goal remains the same\u2014to \u200bachieve an agreement without a disruption that rewards our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/caltrans-honors-fallen-highway-workers-with-memorial-signs-statewide\/\" title=\"Caltrans pays tribute to fallen highway workers with signs across the state.\">team \u2063members<\/a> and\u2063 protects the\u2063 future of the entire GM \u200bteam,&#8221; added Mr.\u200c Johnson.<\/p>\n<h2>Ford \u200cand Autoworkers Union\u200b Appear to \u2062Be Coming to \u2063Terms<\/h2>\n<p>Meanwhile, Ford Motor\u200c Company\u200c offered the union a 9 percent\u2064 wage increase through 2027, far less than \u2063the 46\u200c percent wage hike demanded.<\/p>\n<p>Ford\u2062 said its latest offer would provide hourly \u200bemployees with 15\u200b percent guaranteed \u200ccombined wage\u2063 increases, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/man-accidentally-buys-pair-of-identical-lottery-tickets-wins-two-jackpots-i-couldnt-believe-it\/\" title=\"Man Accidentally Buys Pair of Identical Lottery Tickets, Wins Two Jackpots: 'I Couldn't Believe It'\">lump sum payment<\/a>, and improved benefits.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Overall, this offer\u200b is significantly better than what we estimate workers earn \u2063at Tesla and \u200cforeign automakers operating in the \u200cU.S.,&#8221; Ford said.<\/p>\n<p>The UAW president swiftly rejected that proposal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe \u2064will accept nothing \u2063less than consistent living \u200bwages that will grow\u200d with \u200cthe economy,&#8221; Mr. Fain said in the \u2063press statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If Ford thinks we will \u2063accept a\u200b single-digit pay increase and no cost-of-living allowance, then I\u200d hope these shareholders know how to work on \u2063an assembly line\u2014because those are go<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The UAW lodged unfair labor practice charges with the NLRB against General Motors and Stellantis, alleging the automakers&#8217; lack of sincere negotiation.
