The protest, \u2064organized by the\u200d Service Employees International Union United \u200bService Workers West (SEIU-USWW) organization, Airport \u2063Workers United (AWU), \u200btook place in\u2064 front of a departures terminal at \u2063the airport.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters used powerful\u200b chants like \u2063&#8221;No justice, no peace&#8221; and &#8220;No clean air, no peace&#8221; to draw attention to the issue of environmental racism. He echoed the union&#8217;s call for airlines\u200c to reduce the carbon content of jet \u200dfuel.<\/p>\n<p>California State Senator Henry Stern \u200cemphasized the need for airlines to be held\u2064 accountable\u200d for \u200btheir emissions.
