We have got to\u2062 be using their \u2064will and their skill to dominate the global EV market.&#8221;<br \/>\n \u200b\n  <\/p>\n<h2>Biden Administration Wants Gas-Powered Vehicles Gone By Mid-Century<\/h2>\n<p>    The Biden administration wants to eventually eliminate gas-powered vehicle use in the United States as part of its effort to combat climate change.<br \/>\n \u200d\n  <\/p>\n<p>    \u200c   Democrats want plug-in \u200belectric, hybrid, or hydrogen fuel cell \u200bvehicles to be the legal standard by the middle of the century by enticing the \u2063industry with\u2064 additional subsidies, tax credits, and strict regulations.<br \/>\n  \u2063\n  <\/p>\n<p>    \u2062   The Environmental Protection Agency \u2063proposed a plan \u200bin April to\u200b make sure that two-thirds of new vehicle sales \u200bwould be electric by 2032.\n  <\/p>\n<p>    For <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-york-becomes-latest-state-to-ban-sale-of-new-gas-cars-by-2035\/\" title=\"New York Becomes Latest State To Ban Sale Of New Gas Cars By 2035\">medium-duty vehicles<\/a>, the agency wants\u200c 46 percent of them to be electric powered by the \u2062deadline.\n  <\/p>\n<p>    \u200c The administration is\u200c also proposing new climate regulations for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-administration-offers-automakers-12-billion-to-accelerate-ev-conversion\/\" title=\"Biden admin offers B to speed up EV transition for automakers.\">heavy-duty vehicles including delivery trucks<\/a> and school buses.\n  <\/p>\n<p>    \u2063The EPA does not plan to mandate\u2063 those levels, but it plans to require automakers to \u2064limit so<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/states-warn-blackrock-to-stop-pushing-political-agenda\/\" title=\"States Warn BlackRock to Stop Pushing Political Agenda\">-called greenhouse gases<\/a> \u200bby making more of their vehicles \u2063electric or by upgrading the gas-powered engines in their vehicles.<br \/>\n \u200d\n  <\/p>\n<p>    \u201cThis\u200c is a win \u200bfor the American people,\u201d White House Climate Adviser Ali Zaidi told reporters \u2063in April, \u200badding, \u201cPresident Biden is seizing the moment.&#8221;\n  <\/p>\n<p>    Both automobile industry trade groups and \u200bRepublicans are critical of the measure.<br \/>\n  \u200c\n  <\/p>\n<p>    \u201cAre EPA\u2019s \u2062new standards feasible? Will they accelerate the EV transformation? It depends,\u201d said John Bozzella, President and CEO of the Alliance for Automotive Innovation, in his blog.\n  <\/p>\n<p>    \u2063\u201cFactors outside the vehicle, like charging\u200c infrastructure, supply chains, grid resiliency, the availability of low carbon fuels and critical minerals will determine whether EPA standards\u2062 at these levels are achievable,\u201d\u2063 he added.\n  <\/p>\n<p>    In addition to being\u200d skeptical of\u2064 green energy policies, Republicans have argued that the proposal \u200cwould limit consumer \u2064choice and that electric\u200c cars are too expensive for \u2064the average American driver.\n  <\/p>\n<p>    \u201cToday, \u2062the Biden\u2064 administration made clear it wants\u2063 to decide for Americans what kinds of cars and \u2064trucks we are allowed to buy, lease, and drive,\u201d said Sen.
