The permitted route begins at a future substation\u200c in Torrance County, New \u2063Mexico, \u2063and ends \u2063at the \u2062current Pinal \u200cCentral Substation \u2062in Pinal County, Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>BLM New Mexico State Director Melanie Barnes said they were &#8220;pleased to announce this exciting milestone&#8221; for the \u2063project,\u200c according to the\u200b department&#8217;s press\u200c release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis effort represents an important step in \u2062the development of our country\u2019s renewable\u2064 energy and transmission infrastructure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pattern Energy, who\u200c are developing\u200d the SunZia project, announced that an\u200d independent analysis of the project \u2062found \u2062that it\u2064 would likely \u2064generate roughly $20.5 billion \u2062in economic benefits.<\/p>\n<p>According to Pattern Energy,\u2064 the combination of SunZia Wind and Transmission will establish the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/department-of-interior-breaks-ground-on-multi-billion-dollar-southwest-green-energy-project\/\" title=\"Interior Department Begins Construction on Southwest Green Energy Project Worth Billions\">largest clean energy infrastructure initiative<\/a> in the history of the\u2063 United States.<\/p>\n<p>SunZia Wind represents a greater\u2064 than\u2063 $5 billion investment.
