McGraw<\/a>, commonly known as Dr. Phil, had \u2064a powerful message for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) this week. He expressed his concern that \u2062<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ga-poll-watcher-it-expert-non-trump-supporter-affidavit-sudden-surge-of-20000-mail-in-votes-for-biden-in-early-hours-on-nov\/\" title=\"GA Poll Watcher, IT Expert, Non-Trump Supporter Affidavit: Sudden Surge of 20,000 Mail-In-Votes For Biden In Early Hours On Nov\">social media companies<\/a> are actively \u2063attacking the family unit\u200c in the U.S. by exposing children to \u200bharmful content that leads to a wide range of \u200c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/i-am-the-demon-school-shooter-recorded-evil-manifesto-night-before-his-attack\/\" title=\"'Demon's Manifesto: School Shooter Records Sinister Message Prior to Attack'\">mental health \u2063issues<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During a special appearance on\u200b Cruz&#8217;s &#8220;Verdict&#8221; podcast, McGraw \u2063responded to Cruz&#8217;s observation that\u2063 today&#8217;s kids face pressures that are qualitatively different from what previous generations experienced.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Deliberate Poisoning of Our Children<\/h3>\n<p>Cruz asked,\u200b &#8220;They&#8217;re just assaulted online with social media, confronted with\u200c themes and messaging that is\u200c deliberately\u2064 poisoning \u2062them. What about \u200dthat worries you? And what should parents be doing about it?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>McGraw expressed deep concern, stating, &#8220;A lot about it\u200c worries me because it&#8217;s not just that there&#8217;s competing information out there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>McGraw emphasized that\u2064 children are not \u200cmerely exposed\u200b to harmful content, but they are specifically\u2063 targeted by it. \u200dHe recalled writing a book called \u2064&#8221;Family First&#8221; in 2004, where he warned that the \u200cfamily unit and \u2062its values\u2062 were under attack. \u2063Now,\u2062 two decades later,\u2062 he believes \u2064the situation has \u2062worsened significantly.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>The Internet&#8217;s Role in Targeting Children<\/h3>\n<p>McGraw explained, &#8220;When I \u200csay they&#8217;re under\u2064 attack, one of the ways is \u2063what&#8217;s happening on the internet, what&#8217;s \u2063happening on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/people-who-trash-their-family-in-public-cant-be-trusted\/\" title=\"Don't trust those who publicly criticize their own family.\">social\u2063 media platforms<\/a>. People don&#8217;t understand algorithms, \u2062including me, but I got myself in touch with experts that \u200cdo understand this.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He shared a \u200dshocking example of research\u200b conducted, where a \u200dfake\u2064 account was created for a 14-year-old girl. Within \u200bhours, she started receiving toxic information that led her to eating \u200cdisorder and suicidality sites.<\/p>\n<p>McGraw continued, &#8220;The algorithm picked up those \u2062words and what they do is they feed you what you will click on. You attack the children. If you get them to hate themselves, be questioned about \u200bwho they are, \u200dwhat they are, what&#8217;s that going to do to the next generation and the\u2063 next \u200dgeneration?
