Version: 4.0.47--><h2>Mask Mandates Beginning \u2064to Reappear Across America<\/h2>\n<p>Several hospital systems in the United States are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mask-mandates-beginning-to-reappear-across-america\/\" title=\"Mask mandates resurfacing in America.\">slowly bringing back mask mandates<\/a> \u2063as fears over COVID-19 reemerge, according to public \u200bwebsites and reports reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyuhs.org\/covid-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">United\u2062 Health \u200cServices<\/a> in New York, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfchronicle.com\/health\/article\/rising-covid-cases-prompt-bay-area-hospital-18326006.php#:~:text=Kaiser%20Permanente%20Santa%20Rosa%20Medical%20Center%20has%20reinstated,according%20to%20an%20official%20statement%20made%20on%20Wednesday.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center<\/a> in California, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.auburnhospital.org\/patients-and-visitors\/visiting-hours\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Auburn Community Hospital<\/a> in New York, \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ummhealth.org\/umass-memorial-medical-center\/patients-visitors\/plan-your-visit\/visitation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UMass Memorial Health<\/a> in Boston and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/health\/2023\/08\/both-upstate-medical-hospitals-to-require-masks-again-as-covid-cases-tick-up.html#:~:text=Syracuse%2C%20NY%20--%20Upstate%20Medical%E2%80%99s%20two%20hospitals%2C%20University,sent%20to%20Upstate%20staff%20and%20provided%20to%20Syracuse.com.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">University Hospital<\/a> in Syracuse, New York, have all reinstated mask mandates in the past \u2064several weeks, with some requiring staff only \u2063to wear masks \u200band others requiring \u200ceveryone to wear masks, according to public websites and reports reviewed by the DCNF.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/08\/29\/well\/live\/covid-masks-guidance.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">doctors<\/a> are calling for renewed masked mandates, despite\u2064 evidence suggesting that \u2062mandates may not be\u2064 as effective as their proponents claim.<\/p>\n<p>COVID-19 hospitalizations are up\u200d 18.8% for the week of Aug. 13 to Aug. 19, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/covid.cdc.gov\/covid-data-tracker\/#datatracker-home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">data<\/a> from \u2064the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cdc-mysteriously-stops-accepting-covid-vaccine-adverse-event-reports-ahead-new-vaccine-push-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a>, which has\u2063 prompted at least three hospital \u2063systems to bring back mandates in New York.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cMasks are required at nurses\u2019 stations and in conference rooms within clinical departments, including areas where patients register,\u200d wait, transport through,\u200d or receive testing and care,\u201d United Health Services\u2019 website reads.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The hospital said the \u201cuptick in COVID-19 cases\u201d was the reason for masks now being required.<\/p>\n<p>Auburn Community\u2064 Hospital in \u200dNew York now requires <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/uncovered-network-doctors-pushing-masks-100-fake-never-existed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">masks<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cFace coverings are mandatory inside our facilities, regardless of your immunization status. If \u2063you \u2062do not arrive with one or yours is deemed inappropriate,\u200c a mask will be provided to you,\u201d its\u2064 website \u2062reads.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A January 2023 Cochrane <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cochrane.org\/CD006207\/ARI_do-physical-measures-such-hand-washing-or-wearing-masks-stop-or-slow-down-spread-respiratory-viruses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">meta-analysis<\/a> brought into question the\u200c effectiveness of mask-wearing\u2062 in stopping the transmission of\u200c respiratory viruses, finding that it was \u201cuncertain whether wearing masks or N95\/P2 \u2062respirators\u2064 helps to \u2064slow the spread\u2062 of \u200drespiratory viruses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>University Hospital in Syracuse is also \u200cnow requiring masks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cMandatory masking \u200dis required by all \u2062staff, visitors, and patients in clinical areas of Upstate University Hospital, Upstate Community Hospital, and ambulatory clinical spaces,\u201d their website reads.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>UMass Memorial Health in Boston and\u200b Kaiser \u2062Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center\u2064 also reinstated mask mandates.<\/p>\n<p>Kaiser Permanente Santa Rose Medical Center partially backtracked on Aug. 24, saying only staff needed to wear\u2064 masks, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressdemocrat.com\/article\/news\/kaiser-permanente-revises-masking-mandate-again-says-it-only-applies-to-st\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The (Santa \u2062Rosa) Press Democrat<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Renewed discussion\u2062 about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ca-store-realizes-masks-putting-employees-risk-bans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mask mandates<\/a> has prompted several Republican politicians to speak out on the matter and denounce the possibility of reinstated mandates for the broader public.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo every COVID tyrant who wants\u2063 to take away our freedom, hear these words: we will not comply, so\u200c don\u2019t even\u2064 think about it.
