Wyeth.<\/p>\n<h3>The Legacy of\u200b N.C. Wyeth<\/h3>\n<p>N.C. Wyeth, a prolific artist known for his more than \u200b3,000 paintings, was \u2063a prominent figure in\u2064 the art world. He was\u2063 best known \u2063for his \u200d25 illustrations \u2062for the Scribner Classics publishing house,\u2064 collectively known as Scribner&#8217;s. Wyeth\u2062 came from a\u200d family of artists,\u2064 with his father Andrew\u200b Wyeth and grandfather Jamie Wyeth also making significant\u2064 contributions to the art\u2062 scene.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200b painting that \u200cwas discovered is part of a series of \u200bfour works created for the 1939 edition of \u2063Helen Hunt Jackson&#8217;s novel &#8220;Ramona.&#8221; The\u200c book tells the story of a Scottish-Native American girl\u200d living in Southern California after the Mexican-American war.
