While President Trump maintains that fraud occurred in \u2062several \u2064states in 2020, possibly\u2064 costing him reelection, Mr. Barr has been dismissive of those claims.<\/p>\n<p>In the Fox interview, he argues\u200d there\u200b is no standing for the presidential candidate to seek to move his \u200ctrial dates until past the \u200d2024 elections.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The basic principle in the\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-please-pardon-jon-woods-a-victim-of-process-crimes-like-michael-flynn\/\" title=\"President Trump, Please Pardon Jon Woods, a Victim of Process Crimes Like Michael Flynn\">criminal justice system<\/a> is if \u2062a prominent\u2064 person commits a crime and is seeking office, that doesn\u2019t give them immunity,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If there\u2019s\u200d if\u200c there\u2019s enough time to have it resolved before the election, it should be resolved.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Just think some mayor charged \u2062with massive\u200b embezzlement and he says, \u2018Well, you\u2064 know, it\u2019s a year \u200cand a \u200dhalf to the election. Let\u2019s put that \u2062on\u200b hold. While I\u200d run for reelection.\u2019 It&#8217;s silly,&#8221; he says. &#8220;It&#8217;s \u2062silly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He \u2062adds that \u200done could argue whether \u2064President Trump should\u2062 be charged,\u200d but regardless, the charges are not \u200binterfering with the election.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Barr has previously also said he\u2062 would\u2063 &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/bill-barr-willing-to-testify-against-trump-in-jan-6-indictment-trial-5447658\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">of \u200dcourse<\/a>&#8221; be \u2062willing to testify against President Trump in the election case. In interviews on \u2063news networks, he has multiple times dismissed the legal arguments put forth by President Trump&#8217;s legal teams,\u2062 claiming there is no First\u200b Amendment defense.<\/p>\n<p>President Trump, <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">meanwhile<\/a>,\u2062 has repeatedly called the legal action against \u2063him\u2064 &#8220;election interference,&#8221; noting \u2063that indictments and motions follow as he rises in the polls, or when investigations into\u2063 the Biden family \u200dmake headlines.<\/p>\n<p>He <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/110985729326184154\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">slams<\/a> the Fox interview on Truth Social, naming the host and \u2064two \u2064interviewees.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Anyway, my \u200dpolls\u200b are even higher\u200b since the so-called Debate. Republicans should unite against the Fascist Lunatics who are destroying our\u200d Country!\u201d he writes.<\/p>\n<h2>Overlapping Trials?<\/h2>\n<p>The candidate faces a\u2062 busy trial schedule as campaign season heats up.<\/p>\n<p>In the Washington, D.C. case ahead of &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/republicans-say-trump-trial-date-before-super-tuesday-is-blatant-election-interference-5482568\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Super Tuesday<\/a>,&#8221; when \u2063more than a \u2064dozen states will\u2063 hold their Republican primaries,\u2063 President \u2062Trump is being charged on four conspiracy counts over his challenge of\u200c the 2020 election results in \u2064federal court.<\/p>\n<p>He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-south-texas-sheriff-arrested-on-corruption-charges\/\" title=\"EXCLUSIVE: South Texas Sheriff Arrested on Corruption Charges\">faces similar charges<\/a> in state court in\u2064 Georgia,\u2064 where Fulton County District\u2064 Attorney Fani Willis is prosecuting a racketeering case that names President Trump along with 19 defendants. \u200cThe prosecutor is\u2063 pushing for an Oct. 23 trial date, \u200dwhich President Trump&#8217;s attorneys have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/trump-pleads-not-guilty-in-fulton-county-5484201\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">argued<\/a> against.
