It has \u2064been\u200b flown over our military units and adopted by various\u2063 groups,\u2064 including the Tea Party,&#8221; Polis stated. &#8220;Just like a kid could wear an &#8216;I \u200clove the Tea Party&#8217; pin, we should allow\u2062 students to express their political\u2063 beliefs freely \u200din school.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>During the interview, CNN host Abby Phillip suggested that the flag&#8217;s association with slavery was due to its \u200cconnection with the right, the Tea Party, and possibly the\u200d Republican Party.<\/p>\n<p>Polis responded by \u200cemphasizing \u200cthe importance of understanding the history and pride \u2062associated with the Gadsden flag.
