The conservative-leaning judge submitted\u200c his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/justice-thomas-releases-9-page-financial-disclosure-report-following-attacks-by-the-left\/\" title=\"Justice Thomas issues 9-page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-asia-czars-holdings-may-present-conflict-of-interest\/\" title=\"Biden Asia Czar\u2019s Holdings May Present Conflict of Interest\">financial disclosure report<\/a> amidst left-wing criticism.&#8221;>2022 annual\u200b financial \u2062disclosure report earlier<\/a> this month, and the document was obtained by the Washington Examiner on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The nine-page disclosure comes in response to criticism from the left regarding Thomas&#8217; personal ethics. Previously, Thomas had faced scrutiny\u2064 for accepting apparent\u2064 gifts from\u200d Republican donor Harlan Crow without reporting them in previous disclosures. ProPublica reported on a series of vacation trips \u2063and expensive \u2064items that were seemingly undisclosed.<\/p>\n<p>In his latest disclosure, Thomas reveals three different reimbursements to Crow\u200d in the first half\u200b of 2022, citing transportation,\u2063 meals, and lodging. He also explains a\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-democrats-to-push-binding-supreme-court-ethics-code-bill-as-gop-balks\/\" title=\"Senate Democrats plan to advance a bill enforcing a binding ethics code for the Supreme Court, despite Republican opposition.\">real \u200bestate transaction<\/a> he conducted with Crow, which resulted in a &#8220;capital loss.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Thomas clarifies that he had been unaware\u200b the final sale of the property \u200dinterests had\u200d been a reportable transaction, as\u2063 he had previously reported the \u2062rental income acquired from the homes. Additionally, the judge \u200backnowledges that bank accounts at three different financial institutions were inadvertently omitted in previous\u2063 financial disclosure filings.<\/p>\n<p>In the August document, Thomas did not report any\u2063 gifts. He states \u200dthat\u2064 his \u200donly non-investment income, \u2063other than his judicial salary, comes\u200b from a \u2063position\u2064 at \u2064the Antonin Scalia \u2062Law School at George Mason University.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas&#8217; attorney, Elliot Berke, emphasized that the filings are consistent \u200bwith\u200d Thomas&#8217; high \u2062professional ethics.
