Boermeester \u200bwas expelled from the university in 2017 after his then-girlfriend accused him of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/private-university-students-accused-of-abuse-dont-have-right-to-cross-examine-accusers-california-supreme-court\/\" title=\"CA Supreme Court: Private university students accused of abuse lack right to cross-examine accusers.\">drunken violent assault<\/a>. However, in 2020, the \u2062Second Appellate District ruled that Boermeester&#8217;s right to a fair hearing \u200bwas violated because \u200dhe\u2064 couldn&#8217;t \u2063directly question his\u2062 accuser.<\/p>\n<p>The California\u200b Supreme Court has now overturned that\u2062 ruling. Chief Justice Joshua Groban argued that Boermeester \u2064had the opportunity \u200dto give \u200bhis\u200c statement and indirectly question his accuser about any inconsistencies.
