They focused on \u2064the KN94 masks,\u200c which \u2062are equivalent to the U.S. KN95 masks. Other types \u200bof products that\u200b release TVOCs are paint, caulks, cleaners\/disinfectants, pesticides, and\u200c even tobacco smoke,&#8221; \u2064the LC statement continued.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The German study, conducted in 2022 by independent\u200b researchers, expressed concerns about the impact of increased exposure to TVOCs \u2064on children, teens, and pregnant women. The study \u200dsuggested \u200cthat extended mask use may be related to stillbirths and reduced\u2062 cognitive performance in children born during the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Both studies recommend further research on the issue and caution \u2063against \u2063prolonged mask use without proper ventilation.
