When asked if he anticipated participating in debates, \u2063Trump responded,\u200b &#8220;I might. I \u2063mean, \u2062you know, it&#8217;s possible. I liked\u2064 debating. I guess I won because of the debates. You know, they&#8217;ve been\u200b very \u200cgood\u2064 to me. So I might.\u2063 But at this moment, I&#8217;m leading by so much that it seems to \u2063be foolish \u2062to \u2063do it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this\u2064 month, a \u2064source familiar with Trump&#8217;s thinking revealed that his decision to skip the first debate only applied to the \u200dfirst \u2063two debates, \u2064leaving room for \u2062him \u200dto reconsider and\u200b attend \u200cfuture\u200b ones.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&#8217;s change of heart coincides\u2062 with a recent\u2063 Emerson\u200c College poll, which showed a six<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-says-he-may-be-open-to-future-primary-debates-after-all\/\" title=\"Trump may consider participating in future primary debates.\">-percentage-point \u2062drop<\/a> in his support after skipping the \u2062debate. But more than anything, it got numbers \u200dthat, the\u200b biggest numbers in history,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth\u200b noting, however,\u200c that Twitter views do not adhere to the same standards as the\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ian-sams-former-kamala-aide-and-grillary-clinton-apron-model-lands-new-gig-as-bidens-covid-spox\/\" title=\"Ian Sams, Former Kamala Aide and \u2018Grillary Clinton\u2019 Apron Model, Lands New Gig as Biden\u2019s COVID Spox\">primary debate<\/a> \u200don Fox News\u200d and \u2063Fox \u2064Business Network, which attracted 12.8 million viewers.<\/p>\n<p>Trump also took \u200bthe opportunity to criticize Fox News when \u2063asked about the\u200c network&#8217;s \u2063recent\u200c coverage.\u200b In response to a question about Steve Doocy&#8217;s \u2064claim\u200d that\u2064 Trump&#8217;s polling numbers had slipped after skipping the debate, Trump stated,\u200c &#8220;Well, \u2064he&#8217;s incorrect because most \u200cof the polls, and I&#8217;m way ahead in Emerson, too, \u2062but most of the polls literally have \u2064me going up a lot since\u200c the debate, if you can call\u2062 it that. They&#8217;ll pick one poll\u200b where if \u2064you\u200d go down a little bit,\u2064 they&#8217;ll use that one poll, but they won&#8217;t use 15 polls or a \u2064lot of the\u200c polls where \u200cyou go up.
