pleas before a crowd of spectators.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike other courts, Georgia allows \u200cnews cameras \u2062in the\u200d courtroom, so Trump&#8217;s absence means he won&#8217;t \u2064have to enter a\u2063 plea on television.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Trump and 18 others were indicted on 41 counts, alleging a scheme to undermine\u200c the will of Georgia voters who had chosen Democrat Joe Biden \u2063over the Republican incumbent in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/are-covid-case-surges-more-fake-news\/\" title=\"Are COVID Case Surges More Fake News?\">presidential election<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/police-release-mugshots-trumps-rico-case-defendants-giuliani-powell-ellis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read more about\u2064 the indictment here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Several defendants in the \u2063case had already waived arraignment, saving them a trip to the\u2063 courthouse in \u2062downtown Atlanta.<\/p>\n<p>Trump previously turned himself in\u200b at the Fulton County \u2063Jail on August 24, becoming the first former president to have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/numbers-much-trump-made-off-mugshot-democrats-insisted-upon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a mugshot taken<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200d case, filed under Georgia&#8217;s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), is complex, and the logistics\u200d of bringing it to\u200c trial are expected to be challenging.<\/p>\n<p>Legal maneuvering\u200d has \u2064already begun, with some defendants demanding a speedy trial and requesting separate trials from the others.<\/p>\n<p>One defendant, Kenneth Chesebro,\u200d a \u2064lawyer involved in a plan to falsely declare Trump as the\u200c winner of Georgia, has been given an October\u2064 23 trial date.<\/p>\n<p>Fulton County District Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/house-judiciary-committee-launches-probe-georgia-da-fani-willis-shortly-trump-arrest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fani Willis<\/a> wants all defendants to be tried together\u2063 and has requested an October 23 trial date for everyone.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&#8217;s lawyer, Steve Sadow, objects to this date and plans to file a motion to separate\u200b Trump&#8217;s case from those who demand a speedy trial.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the other defendants are seeking to move their cases to \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/federal-court-is-fast-tracking-sidney-powells-request-for-a-forensic-exam-of-dominion-voting-machines\/\" title=\"Federal Court Is Fast-Tracking Sidney Powell\u2019s Request For A Forensic Exam Of Dominion Voting Machines\">federal court<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Former \u200cWhite House chief of \u2064staff <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gop-rep-mark-meadows-demolishes-cbs-reporters-claim-reading-depositions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark Meadows<\/a> \u2063 has made such a request, and arguments were heard\u200c on Monday, but a ruling has \u2062not yet \u200cbeen issued.<\/p>\n<p>Trump, who is currently the front-runner in the 2024 Republican presidential primary, has criticized these cases as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-ftc-punished-twitter-for-seceding-from-the-censorship-complex\/\" title=\"Biden's FTC penalized Twitter for leaving the censorship network.\">politically motivated \u200battempts<\/a> to\u200d prevent him from reclaiming \u2064the White House.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: italic\">The Western Journal has \u200creviewed this Associated \u2063Press story and\u200d may have altered it prior to publication to ensure that it meets our editorial standards.<\/p>\n<p>The post <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-trump-robs-democrats-televised-spectacle-georgia-not-guilty-plea\/\">Trump Robs Democrats of Their Televised Spectacle with Georgia &#8216;Not\u2063 Guilty&#8217;
