The \u2062most recent quarter lasted for three months and ended on \u200bAug. 4.<\/p>\n<p>Dilts has warned that the pressure from retail theft \u2063will persist, and inventory shrink will increase in the second half \u2063of 2023. However, the company plans \u200dto take precautions to combat this problem, including reducing their inventory position and improving execution in their stores.<\/p>\n<h2>Retail\u2063 Theft: \u2062A \u200bGrowing Problem<\/h2>\n<p>Retail theft has become a \u2064growing issue within the United States. Retail giant \u200cDick&#8217;s Sporting Goods experienced a 23% plummet in profits,\u2062 resulting in a 24% decrease\u200c in their \u200bshares.<\/p>\n<p>Los Angeles has recently launched a task \u2063force to combat the unprecedented rise of organized retail crime thefts across the region. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dollar-general-expecting-100-million-loss-due-to-theft\/\" title=\"Dollar General anticipates 0M loss from theft.\">force includes \u200blaw enforcement agencies<\/a> from multiple Southern California areas, \u2063such as the Los Angeles Police Department, \u200dLos Angeles Sheriff&#8217;s\u2064 Department, agents from the U.S. Marshals Apprehension \u200cTask Force, and the FBI Apprehension Task Force. Mayor Kim Bass announced the formation of this task force after 30 masked \u200brobbers dressed in black and gray \u200cstormed \u2063a Nordstrom department store,\u200d stealing designer purses, clothing racks, and jewels.
