Secretary of State Mac Warner announced \u200bon \u2064Wednesday that Jon Cooper admitted to voting twice during the presidential election. Cooper, who used to live in Randolph County, also cast a ballot in New Mexico. This marks the second confirmed case of voter fraud in West Virginia for the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have been dedicated to uncovering and prosecuting election \u200bfraud since taking office in 2017,&#8221; said Warner in a statement. &#8220;If anyone attempts to cheat \u2063in a\u2064 West Virginia\u200c election or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/9-key-points-from-trump-campaign-press-conference-on-challenges-to-election-results\/\" title=\"9 Key Points from Trump Campaign Press Conference on Challenges to Election Results\">commit voter fraud<\/a> in any way, \u200cwe will catch you.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Although legislation in West Virginia upgraded illegal voting to a felony, Cooper&#8217;s crime occurred before the\u2062 law was implemented. As\u200b a result, he \u2064will only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/west-virginia-resident-pleads-guilty-to-casting-a-second-illegal-vote-in-the-2020-election\/\" title=\"WV Resident Admits to Illegally Voting Twice in 2020 Election\">face\u2063 misdemeanor charges<\/a>. A local \u2062judge has ordered Cooper\u200d to pay a $500 fine and denied his\u2064 request for deferred adjudication.<\/p>\n<p>Warner has been a \u200cvocal \u200ccritic of unlawful interference in \u200dU.S. \u200delections. Morell claimed that Blinken reached out to\u200d him to discuss the \u200bHunter Biden \u2063laptop story, which led \u200cto the issuance of\u200b a public statement falsely claiming Russian\u200d disinformation.
