The disclosure \u200calso revealed other trips paid for\u2063 by Crow in\u2062 2022. Additionally, the\u2062 report provided details\u2064 about financial and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/clarence-thomas-cites-safety-concerns-for-private-jet-travel-after-dobbs-leak\/\" title=\"Clarence Thomas cites safety worries for private jet travel post Dobbs leak.\">real estate matters dating back<\/a> \u200cseveral years to address \u200cprior omissions and offer\u2063 additional information on issues that have garnered\u200c media attention.<\/p>\n<h3>Leak of <em>Roe v.\u200c Wade<\/em> \u2063Draft Opinion<\/h3>\n<p>In May 2022, POLITICO obtained and\u200b published a draft opinion by Justice Samuel Alito indicating\u2062 that <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> would be overturned. This leak had serious consequences, as it put the\u200b justices who were thought to \u2063be \u200cin the majority\u200c at\u200b risk. Justice Alito himself stated that the leak made \u200bthem targets for assassination.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, in June 2022, a man \u200cwas arrested and charged with allegedly attempting to murder fellow conservative Supreme Court\u2064 Justice \u200bBrett Kavanaugh. GOP lawmakers have also pressed \u200cAttorney General Merrick \u2063Garland on enforcing a federal law against \u2064protests outside Supreme Court justices\u2019 \u200bhomes.<\/p>\n<h3>Investigation into the Leak<\/h3>\n<p>Chief Justice John Roberts \u200cassigned\u2063 the Supreme Court\u2019s marshal, Gail Curley, to investigate the leak. However, the\u200d inquiry concluded in January without \u200bidentifying the\u200d responsible party.<\/p>\n<h3>Financial Disclosure\u200c Reports<\/h3>\n<p>Justice Thomas and Justice Alito released their 2022 financial disclosure\u200d reports\u200c on Thursday after\u2063 receiving \u200b90-day extensions. These reports come\u2062 in the\u200b midst of growing scrutiny \u200cfrom\u200b congressional Democrats over\u2064 concerns of\u2064 improper gift and trip\u2063 disclosures.
