This means that President Trump&#8217;s legal team would have to review over 68,000\u200d documents per day \u200bleading up \u200bto\u2062 the proposed trial start date.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Davis, a former Republican chief counsel on the \u2064Senate Judiciary\u2063 Committee and founder of the Article III Project, criticized the unreasonable timeline for President Trump&#8217;s team to prepare\u2063 for the trial. He also questioned Judge Chutkan&#8217;s reasoning\u200c behind the\u200d March 4 start date.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She \u200dstated during the hearing, setting this absurdly short trial period, that President Trump should have known about his impending indictment for a year,&#8221; Mr. Davis revealed. &#8220;According to her, he should have been\u200c going through his documents for the past year and should \u200dsimply defer to the Biden Justice Department on what they consider important or \u200cnot among those\u2063 12 million\u200d pages of records. And then we can have this trial the day before Super Tuesday.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Davis\u2062 further raised concerns about Judge Chutkan&#8217;s impartiality, highlighting her\u200c appointment by President \u200cBarack Obama and her comments about President Trump during criminal \u200btrials against\u200b his supporters involved in the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Trump\u2063 is clearly not going to get a fair trial in Washington \u200bD.C.\u2064 with this Obama-appointed judge\u2064 who is blatantly partisan and\u200b biased against him,&#8221; he asserted. &#8220;She has shown \u2064clear bias \u200cagainst\u200b the defendants from January 6, while simultaneously defending\u2064 the much more destructive Black\u200b Lives \u2063Matter rioters across America.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Trump&#8217;s Other \u2062Trials<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to the trial scheduled for March\u200d 4 in Washington\u200c D.C.,\u2062 President Trump is facing a civil trial for alleged defamation on January 15, coinciding with the start of the Iowa\u200d Caucus. He criticizes Manhattan District Attorney\u2063 Alvin Bragg for indicting Trump over a non-crime related to a businessman \u2063settling a nuisance claim. He\u2064 also argues that\u2062 President Trump&#8217;s actions regarding classified documents are protected \u2064by the Presidential \u200cRecords\u200d Act, while the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/primary-source-for-steele-dossier-is-accused-of-fabricating-information\/\" title=\"Primary Source for Steele Dossier Is Accused of Fabricating Information\">special counsel&#8217;<\/a>s office claims he illegally retained classified documents and deceived federal officials seeking their retrieval. Additionally, Mr. Davis \u200dhighlights the Democratic-led cases in \u200dwhich Trump is indicted for objecting to a presidential election, which\u200c is permitted by the Electoral Count Act of 1887 and protected by the First Amendment.<\/p>\n<h2>Venue Change\u2064 In Georgia<\/h2>\n<p>President Trump is among several co-defendants\u200c in\u200b an indictment brought by Ms. Willis in Georgia. Some of his co-defendants have already filed motions to have their cases moved \u200dfrom Fulton\u200d County court to a federal court, arguing that the charges are related \u200bto their work as \u2064federal officeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Former White House chief of \u2062staff Mark\u2063 Meadows recently\u200c argued in a Georgia\u200c federal court that the allegations against him by Ms. Willis pertain solely to his White House duties and should therefore be transferred to federal court under a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/uscode\/text\/28\/1442\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">federal statute<\/a>.
