Jaiden Rodriguez, a seventh-grader, believes that\u200c students must stand \u200bup for \u200btheir\u2064 rights or risk losing them altogether.<\/p>\n<p>The school initially\u200d suspended Rodriguez for one day, claiming that the flag&#8217;s connection to slavery violated their rules. It was designed by Ben Franklin in 1754.
