This comes\u2062 as part of an ongoing investigation into Mr. Hunter Biden and allegations of \u2062DOJ interference \u2062to protect him.<\/p>\n<p>On August 21, top Republicans in the\u200c House\u200b issued a subpoena for four individuals \u200cfrom the FBI and IRS, claiming that these agencies had information regarding DOJ meddling. Sobocinski \u2063and FBI assistant\u200c special \u2062agent in charge Ryeshia \u200bHolley.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant\u200b Attorney General Carlos Felipe Uriarte has now \u2063informed\u200b Mr. Jordan that the subpoenas for the two FBI agents &#8220;lack legal effect and cannot constitutionally be enforced&#8221; due to the ongoing investigation. Mr. Uriarte also mentioned that earlier, Mr. Biden was offered a plea\u200d deal that was ultimately rejected\u2063 by the\u2062 judge, leading to criticism from Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>Despite rejecting\u200b the subpoenas, \u200cMr.\u2063 Uriarte expressed the \u200cDOJ&#8217;s willingness to negotiate with the House \u2062Committee on the\u2062 Judiciary. \u2064He suggested that there may \u200bbe room for compromise, such as allowing agency\u2063 counsel \u200bto be present during the \u2062agents&#8217; deposition.
