Biden<\/em> case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is necessary for Congress \u200dto gauge the extent to which the federal government or one of<br \/>\nits proxies worked with or relied\u2064 upon CCDH to censor speech,\u201d Chairman \u2063Jordan wrote \u2063in the subpoena\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/republicans-judiciary.house.gov\/files\/evo-media-document\/ahmed-cover-letter.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accompanying letter<\/a> to CCDH CEO Imran \u2063Ahmed. \u201cThe scope of the\u2064 Committee\u2019s<br \/>\ninvestigation includes intermediaries who may or \u2063may not \u2062have had a \u2063full understanding of the<br \/>\ngovernment\u2019s efforts and motivations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The committee\u2019s investigation, Jordan explained, stems directly \u200cfrom its desire to \u201cdevelop effective legislation\u201d that would prevent the federal government from demanding the silencing of millions of Americans.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan first <a href=\"https:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/republicans-judiciary.house.gov\/files\/evo-media-document\/2023-08-03-jdj-to-ahmed-ccdh.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">asked CCDH\u2064 on Aug. 3<\/a> to turn over documents, communications, and grant paperwork that would inform the committee\u2019s investigation into the Biden regime\u2019s speech suppression campaign.<\/p>\n<p>CCDH issued \u2064a report in 2021 claiming that <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/07\/20\/white-houses-relies-on-foreign-dark-money-group-that-tried-to-deplatform-the-federalist-to-justify-censorship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">12 users<\/a> on Big Tech sites are responsible for spreading \u201charmful and dangerous\u201d vaccine-hesitant information. Internal Facebook \u2063documents \u200cobtained by the Judiciary Committee\u2062 found that the Biden administration used this \u2064report as an excuse in its \u201cunconstitutional pressure campaign against <a title=\"The New Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen Recently Wrote an Essay on Foreign Influence in US Elections \u2013 This Tells Us A Little About His Knowledge of What\u2019s Going On Today\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-new-acting-attorney-general-jeff-rosen-recently-wrote-an-essay-on-foreign-influence-in-us-elections-this-tells-us-a-little-about-his-knowledge-of-whats-going-on-today\/\">social media platforms<\/a> to censor\u201d \u2063the\u200b dissenting \u201cdisinformation dozen\u201d for\u200c rejecting the\u2064 regime\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/07\/19\/fauci-unleashes-his-propaganda-horde-in-war-with-the-free-press\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">COVID-19 propaganda campaign<\/a>. A\u200d <a title=\"Republican AGs Slam New York AG, Back NRA in Bankruptcy Battle\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republican-ags-slam-new-york-ag-back-nra-in-bankruptcy-battle\/\">dozen state attorneys general<\/a> also <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.ct.gov\/-\/media\/AG\/Press_Releases\/2021\/AG-Letter-to-Tech-CEOs.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">begged<\/a> Silicon Valley giants to ban\u200b those named in \u200bthe CCDH \u2063report.<\/p>\n<p>Then-White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/07\/19\/white-house-says-nothing-off-the-table-when-it-comes-to-using-big-tech-to-silence-dissent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">admitted<\/a> that the Biden administration was already colluding with\u200d corrupt Big Tech oligarchs to boost U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/07\/15\/surgeon-general-urges-tech-giants-to-censor-covid-19-dissidents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">urgings<\/a> for Facebook and Twitter to crack down on \u201cmisinformation \u2018super-spreaders.\u2019\u201d Around\u200d the same time, President Joe Biden claimed that a lack of censorship by these <a title=\"Big tech to ban Parler over lack of content moderation\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/big-tech-to-ban-parler-over-lack-of-content-moderation\/\">social media sites<\/a> was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/07\/16\/us\/politics\/biden-facebook-social-media-covid.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201ckilling people.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Even though it has \u200bpublicly admitted \u2064to what the committee <a href=\"http:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/republicans-judiciary.house.gov\/files\/evo-media-document\/ahmed-cover-letter.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">calls<\/a> \u201cdirectly \u200bengaging\u2064 with the Executive Branch and \u200dsocial media companies,\u201d CCDH explicitly \u2064refused to hand over any information\u200b detailing its relationship with censors \u200cand the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy declining to produce anything of substance in response\u200b to \u2064the Committee\u2019s request, CCDH is hindering the Committee\u2019s ability to fulfill its constitutional oversight obligations,\u201d Jordan noted.<\/p>\n<p>Now, CCDH has until the end of September to cough up evidence of its censorship scheme or face the wrath of the Judiciary Committee \u2064and Weaponization Subcommittee.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Jordan Boyd is a staff\u2064 writer at \u2062The \u200bFederalist and\u2064 co-producer of The Federalist\u2063 Radio Hour.
