Too\u200d many \u200bdistricts have folded to the overreach of state pressure and LGBT activist groups, who\u2064 bully districts to \u200binclude woke ideologies in\u2064 their curricula.<\/p>\n<p>However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/california-ag-sues-school-district-over-policy-notifying-parents-of-childs-gender-status-change-5482899\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chino Valley USD<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/another-southern-california-school-district-to-inform-parents-of-childs-gender-status-5465509\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Murrietta Valley USD<\/a> \u2062 in Southern California have come down in favor of sharing \u200binformation\u200d with parents regarding students who experience \u2063gender confusion and want to alter\u200b their \u2064personal pronouns. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/more-california-school-districts-decide-to-inform-parents-of-childs-gender-status-5479651\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According<\/a> to The Epoch Times \u200dand other news outlets, Orange USD \u2063and Temecula Valley USD are currently debating\u2064 this sensitive topic, and\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/director-of-research-at-govt-accountability-institute-fbi-corruption-goes-all-the-way-to-the-top\/\" title=\"GAI Research Director: FBI Corruption Reaches Top Levels\">school board\u2062 members<\/a> are divided on how this confidential information ought to be shared with parents.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocregister.com\/2023\/08\/18\/orange-unified-board-members-debate-transgender-notification-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reported<\/a> \u2063the Orange County Register, Orange USD Board Trustee\u200d John Lopez noted, \u201cWe need \u200cto look at the context of\u2064 the parents. Do we really support the parents? We have to be honest with \u2063ourselves. In other words, school secrets are often open secrets.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of this reality, why are school boards discussing or voting on this issue? Or if\u2062 they vote,\u200c shouldn\u2019t it be a \u200bunanimous vote that\u2064 parents must be notified regarding school \u2063bullying \u2063or students who are undergoing \u200can identity crisis? A student who\u200d experiences gender confusion\u200b also might be unduly influenced by social media or older influencers who\u200c wield \u2064power\u200c over the student. (John Fredricks\/The Epoch Times)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>It doesn\u2019t take brain surgery for schools to\u200d notify\u2064 parents about their child\u2019s well-being. \u2063Indeed, it\u2019s \u2062a no-brainer that school boards and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-education-lesson-from-covid-lockdowns-school-choice-is-imperative-for-every-child\/\" title=\"The Education Lesson from COVID Lockdowns: School Choice Is Imperative for Every Child\">district schools<\/a> should \u200ccraft policies that keep parents in the\u2064 loop regarding\u200d student \u200dacademic \u200bprogress \u2063and behavioral issues.\u200b Let\u2019s break \u200bdown why this\u2062 is so important.<\/p>\n<p>First, students belong to\u2062 their parents and not \u200bto the state. The majority of \u200dparents\u200c know\u2063 their kids best\u200b and look out for their best interests. Parents pay taxes that keep the public schools\u2063 in operation.\u200b School staff come and go while parents are permanent, even \u2064when their\u2064 kids grow up. Therefore, parents ought to have\u2062 a strong voice in what is being taught in the schools.<\/p>\n<p>Next, students attend\u200b school for about 30 hours a \u200cweek. That translates \u2062to around 1,080 hours a year due to all the holidays and weekends. Students attend\u200c school about 180 days out of the year, but less than 20 percent of the total hours in a week are spent at school. If you examine an entire year, \u200bstudents attend school \u2063a bit more than 12 percent of the total hours in a year. The bottom line is that\u2063 the public schools should be serving children and parents, not the other way around.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, some activists \u200bpaint parents as transphobic when they \u2062call for natural rights in school interactions. Shouldn\u2019t gender-affirming \u200dcare affirm one\u2019s biological sex and recognize\u200b the\u200d clear differences between males and\u200d females? These natural differences ought to be celebrated, not \u2063denigrated.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover,\u200b shouldn\u2019t school\u200d boards be discussing methods to \u2062improve the curriculum \u2064and discipline standards rather than remain \u2062fixated\u200c on peripheral woke\u200b topics?
