Check relevant state and local laws,\u201d the GAC posted on\u2064 Tuesday.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A spokesperson \u200cfor the department told the Canadian \u2064Broadcasting Company\u2064 that the advisory was to \u201cenable travellers to make their own informed decisions regarding destinations.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cSince the beginning of 2023, certain states in the U.S. have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/canada-issues-travel-advisory-cautioning-2slgbtqi-from-travelling-to-parts-of-us\/\" title=\"Canada warns LGBTQ+ travelers about certain US destinations.\">passed laws banning drag shows<\/a> and restricting the transgender community from\u200c access\u2063 to gender affirming care and from participation in sporting events,\u201d the statement \u200dfrom\u200b the spokesperson said, adding that other countries\u2019 \u201claws and customs related to sexual\u2063 orientation, gender identity,\u200d gender expression and sex characteristics can be very different from those in Canada.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Over 20 states have laws banning children from getting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrat-governor-says-he-doesnt-support-sex-change-operations-on-kids-he-vetoed-a-bill-banning-them\/\" title=\"Democrat Governor Vetoes Bill Banning Sex-Change Operations on Kids, Doesn't Support Them.\">cross-sex\u200d hormones<\/a> or puberty\u2063 blockers, in addition to surgeries like double mastectomies for girls who \u2063identify \u200cas boys, \u200dor other \u200cgenital\u2063 surgeries. Many of the\u2064 laws have been passed\u2064 in the last year, mostly across the South and Midwest.<\/p>\n<p>Other laws have\u2064 sought\u2064 to prohibit males from participating in \u200cfemale sports \u200cand \u200blimit the availability of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/grade-school-used-to-be-about-math-science-and-growing-up-now-its-about-sex-drag-and-obesity\/\" title=\"Grade School Used To Be About Math, Science, And Growing Up. Now It\u2019s About Sex, Drag, And Obesity\">sexually explicit resources<\/a> in schools.<\/p>\n<p>Canadian\u2062 Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland said \u200dthe updated guidance was meant to keep Canadians safe.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cEvery Canadian \u200bgovernment, very much including our government, \u200dneeds to put at the \u2063center\u2063 of everything we do the interests and the safety of \u200bevery single Canadian,\u200c and of every\u2062 single group of Canadians,\u201d she \u2062said. \u201cThat\u2019s what we\u2019re doing now.
